Simply the best

What do you like best about the product?
Smart and static groups are my favorite features. Being able to group up users into a group using literally anything that makes them or their device unique is a massive time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’m not aware of downsides. If there is something that it can’t do that you want it to do. Make a feature request. Or go to Jamf nation and ask the community and maybe you will find that it actually can do what you want it to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure the right users have the right software/tools to do their jobs.

What do you like best about the product?
The self-service app to great empowering employees to install their own software and obtain a unique user certificate. Jamf saves our small IT team hours and hours of work every week with provisioning, deploying, and managing our macOS fleet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to share dashboards with leadership they have to create their own unless you utilize a platform like Domo with the jamf connector. I have is great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patch management. Soc asks for updates to be ran on vulnerable software and Jamf allows a quick solution to get the software up to date.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great platform very powerful plan on paying more for it and spending more time setting it up than Addigy but has features that we use in the enterprise like deploying a user based certificate for authentication Jamf works and Addigy does not.

Jamf is great

What do you like best about the product?
Smart groups are the best thing. really.
What do you dislike about the product?
no control of App Store versions in iOS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We deploy iOS devices in retail to retail associates that lose or misuse the devices, Jamf helps lock that down. Also, in Marketing, we can support a hands-off approach to supporting people and allow them to make decisions around when updates happen and interrupt their day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We also use an EMM, SOTI, for our Android devices and we frequently refer to the features/functionality within Jamf when we make feature requests. Jamf is the best in class and our jobs are hard enough without picking another option that proposes value over quality.

Great and easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
How easy Jamf is to use while managing systems. When you need to update software, Patch management is very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside in patch management is the “limited” selection of software. There are some titles you need to use a different update server or your own update server to manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are pushing our software and updates to our uses globally.
