You kick off tests and Jenkins/BrowserStack takes care of the rest

What do you like best about the product?
They support multiple browsers, multiple devices etc. So when you need to run tests overnight against multiple os, multiple types of browsers, BrowserStack is your friend. I can just look at the results next day. Also, you can just spin up a browser or a device and test things. There is enough documentation for usage of their system programmatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it can be hard to find tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to have our applications run against multiple browsers, multiple operating systems.

Best Tool for Testers!!

  • December 04, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like this tool because this brilliant tool allows me to performe Mobile App (IOS, Android applications) and Website (Cross Broswer, Responsive) testing in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only concern for this tool is cost because the competitors (Lambda test and SauceLabs) in the market are more cost effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a tester I needed a tool where i could perform both mobile apps and web apps testing. And browserstack has solved my problem, with this i can test IOS+Android applications for mobile apps and can also perform crossbrowser testing for web apps.

Must-have for web developers!

  • December 04, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using BrowserStack for several years to test pages I've built. What I like:

- A pretty huge selection of devices/browsers for testing
- Ability to quickly switch between devices
- Affordable pricing for freelancers
- Good support, I recently had a billing issue which they solved in minutes
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't ran into many issues myself. Occassionally it's been a little slow in the past, but it's usually ok. If you need more than the 100 minutes offered on the freelancer plan, it can be pricey for small businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack is a must-have for web developers. Without it, I wouldn't be able to make sure websites I'm building work across all platforms (short of buying a ton of laptops, phones and tablets myself!).

Testing all those devices just got easier

  • December 04, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use BrowserStack to test our product on a wide range of devices every day - from mobile devices to desktops or tablets, be it Android, iOS or Windows, we test them all with BrowserStack. This has made our testing much easier compared to what we had before - no longer do we have tons of different devices lying around, creating bottlenecks and slowing us down. We can just throw our tests at BrowserStack and let them handle all the devices and their management for us. This saves us a lot of time and we can focus on what matters - the testing.
One of my favorite features is BrowserStack Local Testing. Often, you have local or firewalled sites that you need to test, but since BrowserStack isn't part of the local network, this would normally be difficult to achieve. Local Testing can proxy those requests into our local network, allowing us to test internal applications without exposing them to the internet. This makes it so much easier to integrate BrowserStack than if we had to find a solution for this ourselves.
Like I said before, we use BrowserStack every day and it's usually quite solid.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are of course some downsides, too. For one, Local Testing sometimes has connection issues, but it seems like this may be the fault of our own network. Since it doesn't happen too often, we haven't thoroughly investigated this. Beyond that, while I understand that this is part of the business model, the quite limited number of parallel and queued tests is often annoying when multiple team members test simultaneously. Furthermore, the fact that licenses for, for example, BrowserStack Live, are limited in the same fashion can be annoying, as they have to be assigned to users. Would be nicer if you could just give access to everyone on the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that BrowserStack solves is, as mentioned before, the fact that they take care of managing all those devices. Previously, we had a bunch of different devices lying around the office and had to manually test using those devices. That took up a large amount of time and made it annoying to test things repeatedly. You couldn't just run a test overnight, or kick back and do something else while the testing is happening - you'd have to be there constantly and babysit a bunch of devices. BrowserStack has made this a thing of the past for us, as we can simply start our tests and do other productive things while the tests run.
So, in short, it has benefited us in two ways: 1) reducing friction / annoying manual testing, and 2) improving productivity.

Test Observability

  • December 04, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The implementation is quite easy and the communication with your other services is excellent.
The ability to see all projects in one place with their results that can be analyzed chronologically is great.
Running tests every day and storing them in your service which learns from our input and marks the failed tests itself cuts the time a lot.
Being able to see video of the execution changes things. Also, as I have repeated many times before, your support is one of the best in this industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit buggy and sometimes slow. No notification to email addresses outside your eco system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BS shortens the time in many ways. The ability to run tests on all platforms without maintenance costs is something very good.

It provides a wide range of mobile and desktop browsers for manual and automation testing.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the cross-browser and device testing most. I do use the App-Live feature daily. It was a real time saver for QA testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) It hangs sometime during the App-Live testing.
2) The log window also hangs sometimes, we have to close the session and relaunch it again.
3) The local config plug-in pop-up comes randomly.
4) Need to install the App each time when we start new session
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me in cross-device and cross-browser testing. It saves a lot of cost of infrastructure.

Cost effective solution to allow real device testing for remote teams

  • December 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I used BrowserStack a few years ago and just recently came back to find that we can test with real devices. Previously, we were unable to verify audio and video and now that we can do this and also install mobile apps for testing, it's solved so many problems for our team. It's also easy to implement, took just a few minutes to get our team set up and for our app developer to upload for testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
We can't test some features, like our screenshare feature for example. Real devices are still needed, so it doesn't totally eliminate the need for a small selection of devices to be available for our QA team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't need to purcahse as many real devices to be able to test on a variety of platforms. This saves time and money, especially since our QA team is very small.
