Versatile Cloud Platform for cross-platform testing
What do you like best about the product?
The documentation is very good. We get clear instructions on how to work with whatever the testing framework or tool is used. This makes it easy to integrate and use almost like a plug and play. The customer technical support comes to the rescue when we face any technical challenged for automation. Overall the usability is pretty simple and anyone can use it with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some scenarios where BS struggles compared to the real device. Mostly with the network related things when we need to be behind the VPN.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple device management. Cross platform testing. Parallel testing.
Best it class, but pricey
What do you like best about the product?
Huge range of devices to use for Live testing and extremely easy to use. The functionality and features they offer well exceed what we bother to leverage, but nice to know it's available as needs expand over time. Seemingly trivial features like remembering the browser URL can save a lot of time and make it easy to run multiple tests across a wide range of devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their pricing model is pretty aggressive. If you're taking full advantage of all of the functionality or have a dedicated QA team, it's absolutely 100% worth the price and exceptional quality of the product, but if you only want access for a handful of developers to do basic cross-device testing, their pricing model is far too expensive in my view. You're forced to buy batches of seats in groups of 5 (e.g. a team of 6 requires 10 license), and even if you're only using a small portion of the functionality for just a few hours a month across the team - they require you to buy a seat per person, not priced accordingly for the tiny subset of functionality you'll use, nor relative to the usage you intend to use. I'd highly recommend they offer a pricing tier for only the Live Testing product at a fraction of the price of the full suite, as well as pricing based on individual seats (not batches), and based on # of concurrent users or perhaps hours of usage instead of just "how many people" _might_ do some testing once in a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testing websites across different browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.
Made tester’s life very easy!!

BrowserStack is keeping care of Automation as well as manual testers. It has multiple products which helps a tester throughout the sprint. I personally like its App Live tool because it supports every type of device ranging from android to ios and from mobile to tablets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Product quality of browserstack is very accurate and user friendly it does not disappoint it's user easily. Just one thing i noticed, that sometimes few devices are not available for use for short time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It majorly solving my problem of cross device and cross browser testing. With the help of browserstack it os very easy and convenient for me to test our application in multiple devices with multiple OS versions.
Exceptional if the technical support were faster
What do you like best about the product?
The variety of products available, from web and app automate, to visual testing, among others.
And not only that, the acuracy and precision of the test result. I think the execution is optimal, and also the evidence provided, the video and logs are always useful.
Also the devices availability is always a pro. Testing a native app, for us is very important to test in all the devices possible, so having support of many different real devices and operative systems for both platforms (android&ios) is really important, it's more attached to the real life.
We use it daily, including weekends so we can always have real results on real devices in a daily usage.
Finally I might include that the test observability is a good product that permit us to learn the failure patterns of the automation team or the app we are testing.

What do you dislike about the product?
The technical support is not effective, it takes a lot of time to reply, and the solutions pruposed are not always right. I feel like sometimes they just leave the tickets there, and by the time they respond, we already found a work-around.
Sometimes we just need an answer if something is available or not, to avoid wasting time.
That's the only reason why I wouldn't recommend Browserstack to other peers. If they have an important question, and the customer support takes days to answer, then is not helpful at all.
By the other hand I think the data insight provided of the usage could be improved and more useful, maybe even creating it more visually attractive and easy access, it's not so easy to access it.

We can find regressions in time, our goal is to trigger a daily test suit to get failures faster to have them fixed before the release. So it's helping with those. We just program the execution and the pipeline is executed itself during the night, in the morning we already have the results so we can check if there were any failures.
Also to retest an already failed and fixed test (a bug), we use the App Live to check if the bug is/are happening again. We can test any device at any time without the need of having a real phisical device.
I believe that somehow browserstack is helping us saving money and time, since we don't have to build and mantain the infrasctructure but only worry about our app quality tests.
