What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect that could be improved with BrowserStack’s real device cloud is the pricing. While the service offers great convenience and a wide range of devices, some users might find the cost to be on the higher side. But there is Free Trial :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a r a non-technical enthusiast, I can now test your app on any device without breaking a sweat. Second, not everyone has a collection of smartphones lying around. I was struggling to find a Pixel phone to test and browserstack had it as my client use this brand.

Great testing experience, nice simulator, a bit slow but powerful

  • April 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very straightforward to use. The best part was automating the tests, I was able to integrate it with Playwright. Although, I utilized the simulators most for freelancing projects. The platform gave a good utility for testing on Safari to understand how the application would behave for them.
The customer support was also awesome, I was connected to a real person within 2 minutes and my issue was resolved within 5 minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
While running any simulator, the scroll function for scrolling any websites lags a bit, which sometimes becomes irritating, also there were crashes on opening multiple instances of the simulator.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have Apple products but still, I was able to understand the behavior of my web app on the Mac devices.
Also, rather than just providing the dimensions it also major browser support, which helped me understand the exception for some browser.

Incredibly useful for our mobile testing needs, including integrations

  • April 02, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

For my project, we utilize a VPN and BrowserStack for testing. This allows me to test our website across various browsers and platforms, including different versions of iOS, Android, and web browsers. It ensures that our website functions correctly across different environments and devices.

How has it helped my organization?

BrowserStack has been incredibly useful for our mobile testing needs. One scenario where it proved its value was when I needed to test a new feature across different devices and platforms. I utilized BrowserStack's emulator with real devices feature, selecting specific devices such as iOS devices like the iPhone 14 with different versions like 16 or 17. I could easily switch between devices and versions to simulate real-world usage scenarios. This flexibility allowed me to thoroughly test our UI and ensure compatibility across various devices and browsers, providing a reliable testing environment even when facing connectivity issues.

What is most valuable?

I've also worked on testing integrations with BrowserStack, particularly with a platform called IT. This involves testing the registration process, including receiving verification codes on devices and phones. BrowserStack has been excellent for testing these integrations, providing a seamless workflow development experience. I've had positive experiences with various integrations on BrowserStack.

What needs improvement?

One of the challenges I've encountered with BrowserStack is related to connectivity issues. Occasionally, there are disruptions in the connection which can interfere with our testing processes, especially when testing on phones. Improving the connectivity stability would be beneficial for making BrowserStack an even better product in the next release, in my opinion.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using BrowserStack for almost 1 year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In terms of stability, I would rate BrowserStack an eight out of ten, despite occasional connection issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate BrowserStack as a seven out of ten for scalability, indicating it's moderately scalable. Approximately ten users are working with BrowserStack in our company. There are no immediate plans to increase its usage.

How was the initial setup?

I would rate the initial setup of BrowserStack as an 8 out of 10, indicating that it's relatively easy to set up. The deployment process typically takes around one to two hours, although I'm not directly involved in the deployment steps.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

As for pricing, I can't provide a clear evaluation as I'm not directly involved in those discussions.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend BrowserStack to other users as a helpful tool for testing across different browsers and versions, rating it a 9 out of 10.
