Fantastic Framework for Automating HIPAA and GDPR Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the Drata application will continuously check for compliance issues with cloud services. I also like the policy and personnel systems for tracking end-user compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me, it is getting through the audit. I spent hours working on policies and compliance. I think the tool could help more with project management and goal setting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping guide me along the way to achieve GDPR, NIST and HIPAA Compliance.
Reduce compliance nightmares and save time.
What do you like best about the product?
Drata make your compliance journey a manageable one. We started our journey with Drata with SOC2 and HIPPA compliance in mind and were able to cross the finish line with “no exceptions reports” within 4 months.
Drata’s intuitive platform, easy-to-access policy templates, integration to other platforms (to pull evidence from) and centralized and detailed dashboard make things so much easier.

Regarding customer service, Gabe Bidot and the entire DRATA team were exceptional to work with and always available when there was a question. His wealth of knowledge and expertise help us to cross the finish line in a speedy time.

What do you dislike about the product?
Developing some kind of integration with auditing firms so auditors can pull data from DRATA might save some time for the customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata shows us what controls are missing, or failed, why they failed and how to fix them. This helped us to achieve SOC2 Type 1 and HIPPA assertations in a speedy time.
Excellent software and service
Our company has been working with Drata over the past several months to achieve our SOC2/ISO 27001, and they have saved us a lot of time and money throughout the process. The platform is easy to use, and their customer success team keeps us on track to meet our deadlines/OKRs. The connections used to monitor our compliance efforts made it so I didn't have to sit for hours and manually upload evidence--allowing me to focus on other important work. Highly recommend.
A great combination of technology and service
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent capabilities in the platform. I have been through a readiness process before, and this is much easier and more organized. I love the weekly 1:1 meetings with client success. They are always very knowledgeable and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no "dislikes". There have been some issues that we have worked through, but nothing major.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For a small startup, the frameworks, automation, and monitoring have been very valuable in guiding our focus and efforts.
Accelerated our compliance journey
What do you like best about the product?
Drata covered all the controls needed for our compliance and were organized intuitively. It also had all the necessary integrations and allowed multiple team members to collaborate to get the many controls checked off. Drata also provided us with a portal that we could provide our employees to be onboarded with the company policies and required training. It was a one-stop solution, which made our compliance journey much more accessible.
We had a fantastic customer success manager, Ali, who guided us throughout the journey and was instrumental in us getting our compliances. Since we were new to the compliance process, she ensured we got a good overview of the process early on, had all our questions answered without delay, and provided external vendor recommendations and compliance expert help when needed.

Getting and maintaining compliances. Making compliance attaintment accessible for companies that do not have in-house expertise in different compliance domains.

What do you dislike about the product?
We had a couple of challenges with some of the integrations, but Dratas has always been on top of things quickly or prepared with a workaround. Dark mode would be nice to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Guiding us though SOC 2 adoption by helping to complete policies with their templates and providing tooling to provide evidence of compliance. Drata saved us a lot of time compared to the consultancy we previously tried to use.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's difficult to navigate through all of the potential pages to find exactly what we need because we don't even know all the potential options (we don't know what we don't know). The team is very supportive, but sometimes we don't even know to ask the question.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary issue is SOC compliance. We are a tiny team with no expertise in SOC or compliance in general, so we needed Drata to help us to get where we needed to be, guiding us at every step. Drata has done this excellently & exceeded our expectations in the support, convenience & level of service.
All your security policy for one hour!
What do you like best about the product?
In the past I spended many time for making and implementing security policy for the new company. It was really great difficult job - read standarts, create policies, approve them with collegues, check and configure all possible services... Now with Drata it looks like very easy video game. Drata shows you many useful wisards, workflows, and templaits, checks apps configurations, and users desctops. It's a magic!
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately Drata have a little short list of applications, then it can be connected. I hope it will incress in the future. The second problem is slow synchronisation with AWS - long time between I maked changes in AWS and I see them in Drata.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata solve the greates problem - how to make packet of security documentation. It's very, very useful for startups without comp security team and lowyers. Also Drata checks your realisation of the policyes.
Easy to use Tool, with Great Service behind it.
What do you like best about the product?
There are two specific things I have enjoyed the most with DRATA, the first being the plethora of monitoring capabilities to keep multiple departments in compliance for easy re-auditing. The second is the excellent customer service that sits behind the platform both on individual technical issues that arise and the support you get for specific compliance questions.
My representative Laci White has been extremely helpful in finding solutions to all issues that have arisen and has been a great guide through the whole SOC2 process.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know if we disliked anything specifically, but it would be helpful to add an integration option for none cloud version control applications like GitHub or GitLab community. The Vendor Management could stand to use an upgrade, so there are preconfigured companies and their risk assessments pre-loaded. Still, neither issue is close enough to stop us from recommending this platform above all others in the same field.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DRATA is walking us through the SOC2 certification currently, and in the near future ISO 27001. With this tool, I have been able to provide Departments with specific conditions in which they are required to operate and have created a nice streamlined path for the company to understand security.
