Enabled us to do months of tedious work in days!
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that there are predefined processes and the fact that there is an autmotaic, comprehensive and ongoing monitoring and checking of our infrastructure, enabled us to quickly find out the items we needed to resolve these issues. There are already a ton of guides and wikis provided by Drata on how to resolve specific issues on different platforms ( Azure, AWS, etc.). This, again, made it very easy for us to resolve issues quickly without needing outside help. Drata also recommended many other businesses, such as security companies providing background checks for our employees and prospects, which seamlessly integrate with Drata. One of the most important and helpful aspects was the Drata customer success manager, Elise, who set up regular meetings with us to ensure we had all we needed to achieve our goals, and provided very accurate and timely advice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automatic integration of Drata agent with our infrastructure helped us tremendously. However, there are a few things there that can be improved ( which are probably very platform specific). For example, the ability to create a rule within Drata to automatically mark external users as out of scope. Besides these minor features, there is not much that I don't like about this platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is helping us to acquire our SOC2 and ISO certifications and also provides ongoing compliance monitoring of our cloud infrastructure. If any of our infrastructure features are non-compliant with the criteria ( controls that ensure security, availability and confidentiality of the company and customer data and ensure business continuity and process efficiency), Drata platform identifies them and reports them to us, and suggests quick remediation to stay compliant.

What do you like best about the product?
The automation of evidence collection once you hook up connectors. Also, Drata's customer support is very quick to respond and knows how to best reach the goal you are looking to achieve. Tayler Gase is our CSM and is very helpful in scheduling calls and responding to inquiries whenever we need help with the tool. She's also scheduled proactive check-ins to make sure we are getting the most value out of Drata.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of controls included within a certification, can be overwhelming at first, but once you familiarize yourself and the team on how to use the tool, it becomes easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating and fast-tracking our company's compliance goals. We are able to complete and upload control evidence for multiple certification frameworks by tackling the common denominator controls that span across different frameworks. This, along with evidence collection, refresh reminders, helps us keep on top of our control implementations and recertification journey.
Amazing product with a knowledgeable team behind it and incredible support
What do you like best about the product?
The product is easy to use and understand. Compliance is boring and complicated, but Drata somehow made it a little more accessible and user-friendly with their platform. However, the best thing about Drata is their knowledgeable team. Out of all the options we evaluated, Drata's team was by far the one providing the most information not just about their product, but also about the SOC2 and GDPR processes. They know their stuff when it comes to compliance and they know how to help you understand what needs to be done. Their documentation is thorough and well-written. They have a stellar team, excellent communication and fantastic support!
What do you dislike about the product?
We've been customers of Drata for close to a year now and so far, there is nothing I can point to that we dislike. It would be great if their support hours matched our time zone, but this is really not a big deal and we are making it work as is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata's platform simplifies compliance. In our case, we used Drata for SOC2 and for GDPR. It literally saved us hundreds of hours and many dollars in consulting fees.

I have been involved in several certifications, and hands down, Drata offers a fantastic platform to stream line compliance processes.

None so far. The customer success management excellently manages any questions.

The combination of great people and easy-to-use technology provides a great partner for our compliance needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Like any service, they do not have integrations with 100% of our systems, but the gap is being close every day, and I'm sure over time they will get more and more integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Drata our journey for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II was smooth.
The service serves as our main repository for all compliance-related tasks, including scoping, policies, documentation, evidence collection, and vendor tracking.
The audit was easy as we had all the data organized and ready, which also impressed the auditors.
As compliance does not start or end with an Audit - the service becomes our main day-to-day tool to ensure our environment is kept secure.

What do you like best about the product?
Gone are the days when your compliance teams were frantically searching their entire asset and resource tables and platforms, looking for potential holes in your company's posture. Leveraging the power of software engineering and a tiny sprinkle of industry expertise, Drata manages to automate and integrate the compliance journey from start to finish so that it becomes intuitive and integral to how your company operates.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are integration points that could be more customizable / bring-your-own compatible, but Drata continuously works to improve their lineup to tackle this discrepancy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata helps us fully automate and consolidate our compliance and controls efforts in one place. It streamlines the work of our security teams, and sets the foundation for our security posture and aptitude by design, which expedites security reviews and builds trust with our own customers. As new and evolving GRC requirements fall into scope, we can naturally grow and evolve alongside the platform to tackle these rising needs.

Nothing! Everyone is very helpful and patient with "us newbies."

Problem importing alias emails into the interface. Chris solved the issue for us and things just worked!

The user interface makes it easy to find what you need without fumbling around.

Of course, not all the controls are (or could be) automated; but any possible improvement in that respect is always appreciated!

We need to have all the pieces of our compliance puzzle in one place and Drata is a great tool to do that and to guide us through the steps required.
Compliance Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Connecting your systems for evidence collection is incredibly easy. The dashboard displaying your controls mapped to the frameworks gives you a clear idea of your readiness and compliance. The ability to see where you meet the benchmark for other frameworks helps with future planning and readiness.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some manual evidence collection is necessary, but that's understandable since all data can't be queried via an API, depending upon the services you use. Regardless, Drata makes it incredibly easy to upload this type of evidence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata helps ensure you're staying on top of the controls necessary to meet compliance for the frameworks your business needs, including for SOC 2, ISO, and more. Drata helps me save time by collecting all the necessary evidence and assuring me that all controls have been properly assessed. A considerable portion of the audit time is spent collecting screenshots, tracking controls via a spreadsheet, and other painfully slow processes. None of that is required with Drata! We've had a great support experience, including our CSM Alex Banks checking in regularly to ensure we're getting full capability out of the product.
Well-designed product and fantastic support
What do you like best about the product?
Drata makes figuring out what one needs to do for certifications achievable, even if it is something you are wholly unfamiliar with. We're in the process of working towards SOC 2 certification, and if we didn't have Drata, it would be an absolute nightmare. The tool breaks down all the tasks you need to tackle and has integrations to make a chunk of them easier. And for those in which you have questions, they have a team of experts at the ready to quickly assist, not to mention the fantastic support provided by our account manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really significant comes to mind - I am consistently impressed with how often the tool is updated and improved; it seems the company has truly embraced Agile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us achieve SOC 2 certification, which will enable us to be more marketable to our B2B clients by providing them faith in the security of our systems around our users' data.
