The best funnel analysis tool I've used
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is their funnel analysis. The optional path helps you analyze a user's journey across events which some would not necessarily know fall in the sequence. It helps you to find which is a better journey by analyzing the optional features in between.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to not open new tabs by clicking right. I believe I have got this habit as it's a universal habit while using a desktop or laptop to open things on new tab so that it doesn't hamper your current progress/work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product analytics as well as user behaviour analysis. The timeline is good and broken into sessions. The did/did not function allows you to understand time difference between the ideal and the optimum time when a feature should be highlighted.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good alternative to most of the product analytics tools out there but the best in terms for Pricing.
Have been using this tool as a PM for almost a year now.
What do you like best about the product?
Able to easily see user flows when looking at opportunities in our user funnels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much at all. The tool fits my needs for what I use it for a daily basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to quickly spot drop offs in customer funnels and also able to pull quick analytics on new features.
Quite good user behaviour analysis for a fair price
What do you like best about the product?
- fair price compared to alternatives
- ability to do multipath funnel analysis with great visualizations
- S3 integration, much better than using http requests
- ability to send scheduled reports

What do you dislike about the product?
- pathfinding analysis is not supported (i.e. what are the most common paths that user followed to reach event X)
- significance calculation for A/B tests not supported
- roles/permissions are not granular enough
- significance calculation for A/B tests not supported
- roles/permissions are not granular enough
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
product analytics questions. Mostly funnel and adoption analysis. Also quite useful to analyze A/B test results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
- a very powerful alternative to products like mixpanel/amplitude etc.
- I think it shouldn't be the only analytics tool but if you have a flexible tool (Looker, Tableau, etc) where you can handle basic reporting Indicative is a great supplement since it handles big event data easily (which is very tricky with SQL)

Userfriendly analytic tool
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the segmentation and funnel tools which are quite useful for our enterprise. In terms of QA, our production team really enjoy the interface to test the features, product and releases of our new developments. It's a win-win for both our business team and our technical team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features useful for us are missing such as an alert when anomalies can be seen or selecting multiple options in the filters (we need to select each one because it is a varchar). I do understand that varchar shouldn't be considered as integers, but for versions of the application, this would be very much useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are testing the releases of our applications, but we also have numerous business cases to fill up.
Getting to data-driven answers fast
What do you like best about the product?
Indicative is really easy to use and allows people to give data-backed answers within minutes. Their support is also responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The moment a query gets more complicated, Indicative sometimes struggles to provide good answers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Daily / Weekly usage metrics overviews
- Analysis of funnels
- Quick data answers to usage questions

- Quick data answers to usage questions
Great tool for knowing your customers
What do you like best about the product?
Multi Path Funneling as compared to other analytic tool, it is not possible to visualize this
What do you dislike about the product?
client version is inconsistent (race condition?) sometimes a latter event comes first
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
web client side events not in proper order.
My go to analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to chart funnels with optional paths is an amazing feature to have!
Also, the ability to see the breakout on a shared as well as per step is amazing.
Also, the ability to see the breakout on a shared as well as per step is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. I do believe their persona setup needs work. Apart from that, everything is pretty good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primary data analytics is done directly on Indicative. Only in cases of unique use cases, is when I go to write my own queries. For everything else, Indicative serves almost all purposes.
One of the best benefit is the ease of understanding. I've used this tool to empower all my teams to look at data and do their analysis for making the decisions.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
In case you have segment, it takes you less than a minute to set it up.
Mapping your user journeys with Indicative
What do you like best about the product?
Indicative has helped us quickly build different user journeys to gain insights into how our users are using our product. By easily loading events, then building funnels and using their explore tool, product teams can now do self-service data discovery.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to have more flexibility on how to categorize sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Driving product teams to do self-service data exploration of user-generated events. We now have teams gaining insights into user flows and providing feedback on the impact of their developments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Indicative shares the behavioral analytics space with a couple of tools and their approach to data management and data exploration was the best fit for us since our product does not have a clear predefined user journey. Meaning that being a productivity tool our users use the tool in a non-linear way and Indicative has helped us map out and understand our user journey by easily building upon our events.
Amazing end-to-end solution
What do you like best about the product?
For us, our main problem was the ability to connect front-end web data with back-end customer data to get a true end-to-end view of our customer. After looking at a number of platforms, Indicative greatly exceeded our expectations for capabilities. The team is amazing. It's rare you come across a SaaS platform that doesn't just want to sell you a product and forget about you but takes a vested interest in your success.
What do you dislike about the product?
Indicative has a unique data model that takes a little while to get used to. So it takes a little while to get up to speed but once you get it, everything is fine. Changing data doesn't apply retroactively so when we add new data attributes, it's only point-forward and we don't have a way to retroactively patch the data into the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, this allows us to connect our web data with our back-end customer data. It gives us more granularity into the customer behavior of our best customer segments so we can go out and acquire more similar customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to plan out your data model so that implementation is easy from the get go.
Affordable and practical solution
What do you like best about the product?
The customer service. Everyone I have interacted with has been super helpful, even if it's not the answer I want to hear
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the tools themselves are not intuitive. Just get on chat, and someone is able to help me
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The user insights tool is easy to use and intuitive to set up and manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you explore all your options, but Indicative is a solid solution if you want to heavily customize your analytics beyond what other companies can offer
