Reliable Storage for Cherished Family Memories

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I truly value Dropbox for its ability to securely store important family files, ensuring that they are easily accessible to younger extended family members and even research historians who might want to explore them. This safeguard is particularly meaningful as it includes digital versions of 16mm films taken by my dad during World War II, preserving these cherished memories for future generations to enjoy. This ease of access, coupled with the ability to set up or guide others through the retrieval process, offers immense peace of mind knowing that valuable heritage is preserved and shared effortlessly. Moreover, integrating Dropbox with Gmail-related software apps enhances its utility within my workflow. Given these benefits, I would have no hesitation to purchase Dropbox again if needed, reflecting my high level of satisfaction with the service. This strong satisfaction is reflected in my willingness to recommend Dropbox with a rating of 9.5 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to ensure important family files are accessible and safe for younger family members and historians, preserving cherished digital memories.

Effortlessly Handles Large Files, Minor Usability Improvements Needed

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for about four to five years, primarily as an architect and artist. I appreciate Dropbox's ability to transmit large files such as architectural drawings and PDFs, which are often too large for standard email, making my workflow much smoother. This functionality is especially helpful for sending content to clients and contractors. Additionally, in my artistic work, I frequently send videos and movies to models and others, and Dropbox handles these large files efficiently. The setup process was relatively easy, which was a relief, and I have been able to integrate Dropbox with software like Keynote and a CAD program called Chief Architect on my Mac computer. These integrations work quite well for my needs. I also find the feature of receiving feedback from recipients through Dropbox transfers particularly useful, especially when dealing with time-sensitive content. Dropbox's reliability and additional features make it a tried and true solution, and I would certainly recommend buying it again.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the specialized services like the transfer feature can be a bit tricky to find in the menu. It would be beneficial if it were made a little clearer and more user-friendly. Additionally, when I send files to recipients who do not have Dropbox, they often face reluctance to start using it or encounter difficulty accessing all the information. Simplifying this process for users who do not already have Dropbox would certainly help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to send large drawings, PDFs, and videos, which are too big for email, efficiently to clients and contractors. It's been very helpful for sharing artistic and professional work, facilitating seamless transfer of large documents and receiving feedback easily.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for about ten years to synchronize personal documents between my family and me. I started using it in its early days when I had access to the Pack Rat feature, which was very appealing. I genuinely appreciate the ease of sharing files, whether I want to create a transfer or conduct a permanent share. The transfer feature is particularly useful, and I also value the screenshot sharing feature. I use Dropbox with other software such as Microsoft Office and GoodNotes, finding their integration seamless for my needs. It is easy to use on my phone, and I enjoy the search feature, along with the ability to access previous versions of files. These functionalities have significantly enhanced my productivity and organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup of Dropbox quite challenging, particularly because it lacked a comprehensive backup solution for the Mac ecosystem at the start. Additionally, I feel that Dropbox could be more Mac-friendly overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows me to easily share files, whether creating a transfer or a permanent share. It syncs personal documents with family and is easy to use with features like version history and search functionality, enhancing file management.
