Great for File Organization and Sharing, Though a Bit Clunky at Times

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It helps me offload large files from my computer and organize them in a thoughtful way. The sharing functionality is also great.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes be clunky. And unless I'm working on a specific project, I don't use it as much as I probably could (out of sight, out of mind).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storage

Excellent for transferring and backup up photos

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I keep Dropbox connected on my phone at all times so every picture I take and almost every picture I download (according to my settings) is saved. Then on my desktop computer, I'm able to view and save these pictures. It makes it so easy to essentially transfer and backup everything. I take and save a lot of pictures. I have pictures being synced through Dropbox every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes sync stops working and I have to open the Dropbox app to get it going again. If that doesn't work, a couple of times I've had to reinstall the app on my phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, I've had to transfer pictures from my phone manually, sometimes with a cable connected to the desktop computer. Dropbox does it for me.

Amazing tool for self storage and for the remote worker!

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share folders and collaborate with people so easily. It makes working remotely with people all over the country so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t much I dislike about Dropbox honestly. The only thing I can think of is maybe having a way to keep tabs of links you’ve opened under your profile. I do sometimes lose track of different dropbox links that I’ve been sent and have to go digging for them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m a musician and I work with other musicians all over the country to create music. Sending songs and files can be troublesome but with dropbox we can all have access to the same folders and see what each other is working on, collaborate on ideas and send full quality recordings to each other without worry.

I find Dropbox's ability to share files with coworkers very useful. It provides a convenient platform for collaborative work and easily facilitates file sharing within a team.

I am frustrated with Dropbox's limited storage which prompted me to switch to Google Drive. Another issue is that Dropbox does not solve any specific problems for me. Additionally, I find the search functionality and layout to be not user-friendly, making navigation difficult sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't find Dropbox solving any problems for me. Searching and layout issues make it hard to use, but I appreciate being able to share files with coworkers.

I absolutely love the flexibility Dropbox offers for storing all my work-related information, data, and files shared with students and postdocs. It's an incredibly flexible tool that I've been using for over ten years, and it allows me to store everything from primary data to large documents like theses from students, which is especially beneficial given its useful version control. This reliability eases my worries about managing and accessing my data. Setting up Dropbox was completely hassle-free and straightforward, something I greatly appreciated as it made the transition from using external hard drives simple. The ability to share files easily and access them from multiple devices, such as my desktop, laptop, and iPhone, is invaluable to my workflow. Furthermore, all my basic applications, including Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and specialized research software integrate seamlessly with Dropbox. This interoperability enhances my productivity significantly. I am also a big fan of Dropbox's layout and web version, and its synchronization function is exceptionally reliable, always performing as expected across all my devices. Overall, Dropbox provides me with peace of mind, ensuring my data's safety and accessibility, which makes it a top-notch solution for my needs. It's a great asset that I would definitely recommend to others, evidenced by the fact I would rate it a 10 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox provides reliable storage and version control, making it easy to track and share documents, and ensures data safety across all my devices.
