You love Dropbox, find it fast, easy, reliable, and worth the price.

What do you like best about the product?
Cross-platform syncing: Works on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.
• File recovery & version history: Great safety net for accidental changes or deletions.
• Smart Sync & selective sync: Saves local disk space.
• Shared folders & links: Easy to collaborate with teams or share files with clients.
• User-friendly interface: Clean, intuitive design.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Dropbox is reliable, the storage plans can be expensive compared to other cloud providers. I also find that collaboration features aren’t as advanced as Google Drive when it comes to real-time editing. Sometimes the desktop client uses a lot of system resources, and Smart Sync can be glitchy at times.”

Other Common Complaints:
• High cost for solo users or small teams.
• No free tier with meaningful storage (only 2 GB).
• Limited in-app document editing (compared to Google Docs/Drive).
• File syncing conflicts in team folders.
• Occasional syncing delays or bugs when using Smart Sync or LAN sync.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of file accessibility and version control across devices and team members. I no longer have to email files back and forth or worry about losing data. It keeps everything in sync and backed up automatically, which saves time and reduces stress—especially when collaborating remotely or working across multiple devices.”

💼 If You’re a Professional or Team User:

“Dropbox helps streamline collaboration by providing a central place for shared files with automatic syncing and permission controls. It eliminates version confusion, enables remote access, and integrates with tools we already use like Slack and Microsoft Office. This keeps our workflows organized and efficient.”

🧑‍💻 If You’re a Freelancer or Creative Professional:

“Dropbox makes it easy to send large files to clients and back up important assets like design files or contracts. The ability to restore previous versions has saved me more than once when I made a mistake or overwrote something.”

🔒 Security-Oriented View:

“Dropbox ensures my files are secure and recoverable. The two-factor authentication and file recovery features give me peace of mind, especially when dealing with sensitive or important documents.”

The one tool I trust to never screw up my files

  • July 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Dropbox is how invisible it is when it's working right which, honestly, is almost all the time. It’s one of those tools I don’t have to think about. I save something, and it’s just there on my phone, my desktop, my iPad, wherever I need it.

But it’s not just the syncing. What’s really made Dropbox essential for me is the way it keeps our team aligned without needing constant check-ins. We have shared folders set up for every client, and everyone from interns to execs—knows exactly where to find things. No more "can you resend that?" emails. No more hunting through email threads for a final draft. It’s clean, it’s predictable, and it gives us one less thing to stress about.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest gripe is probably how Dropbox has tried to stretch itself into areas where it doesn’t really shine. Dropbox Paper, for example great idea on paper (pun intended), but it’s not something we ever seriously adopted. The editing experience just feels too limited compared to tools we already use like Google Docs or Notion.

Also, while the storage and sync are top-notch, the pricing does start to feel heavy when you’re scaling a team. Once you’ve got more than a few users, you’re paying a pretty penny just to store and organize files. I’d love to see more flexibility in plans or bundles that add more value.

And one small but real annoyance: file previews sometimes glitch on mobile. Nothing major, but enough to make you sigh when you’re trying to check something on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the chaos that comes from juggling files across multiple people, devices, and tools. Before we used it properly, it felt like every team member had their own version of “organization” some had files on USBs, others in random folders or personal clouds. Deadlines got missed just because someone couldn’t find the right version of a doc.

Now, everything lives in one clean, shared system. I know exactly where to drop a file, and I trust that everyone will see it. It’s taken away the second-guessing, the back-and-forth, and the last-minute “Can you resend that?” messages.

What do you like best about the product?
We used to work with Dropbox to store all the business files and folders, which was good, but right now we are working with Google Workspace. It is easy to use for everyone who has access.
What do you dislike about the product?
By the time we were working with this platform, we had no issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
helps us store and share files easily, allowing our team members to work together smoothly.

Great Service and easy to use

  • July 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to use and provide large files as often as you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did have a data breach issue. My account was hacked but was resolved quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of email accounts (outlook, gmail, etc.) limit how large of files you can send. Drop box makes it the next easiest option.
