Great tool for mobile app analytics

  • January 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating and editing charts. It is in fact so easy that some of them I never saved and with a few clicks I create them each time again!
Realtime event browser (User Account Lookup / Event Explorer) is also very cool, helps to debug instrumentation a lot.
The ability to call Amplitude via API is also nice, it enables me to automate some of my cyclic work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most painful thing for me is the lack of ability to create a nice, tree-like structure to organize my charts. I have like 100 of them and the only option is to create dashboards and add them there, but it still leaves me with ~30 dashboards which I'd like to group into some higher level folders like i.e. product areas.
Smaller things:
in charts, there's no possibility to find the number of how many certain event was performed (i.e. "login try event") before hitting another event (i.e. "login success").
I want some chart to show date range which is always last full month, *daily* - it is not possible to do it, I need to edit the chart every month manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as an analytical tool for our mobile app. Thanks to it I can see what's working and what's not.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a nice tool for mobile app analytics providing good reporting and the ability to see the events live from your device - here it is.

What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to create funnels and the implementation for engg is super smooth
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot link two spaces. For eg, we tend to create separate products for web and mobile and would like to compare metrics for both. Cannot do that, unfortunately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everything related to product analytics. WE've been using it as the primary source to build data driven products.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface. It's nice and easy to use. You can get the data that you need and create dashboards in no time!
I also love that the mobile SDKs take care of sending the events in batches and save events even when the device is offline.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I dislike about Amplitude. Maybe they could add crash reporting tools...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us understand how users use our product and it also helps us monitor how are AB tests are doing. We've made a lot of design and UX decisions thanks to the data that we obtain with Amplitude.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great option for your mobile app analytics. The free tier is a great way to start!

What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to install (used in mobile apps, ReactNative and native)
Very generous plans
Very easy to setup dashboards for the team to have an overview of the system health
What do you dislike about the product?
hard to search for events that repeat a lot for a given user
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile app analytics for events tracking, dashboard (frequency of errors,..).
bread-crumbs
Mobile app analytics
Infer usage
Recommendations to others considering the product:
start with the free plan. easy to setup.
before adding events, think about terminology so it's easier later to remember the meaning of each event.
For a mobile app (whether using ReactNative, or pure native), it is very easy to get events out of the box.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to put together a product funnel with little time needed on the analyst's side
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there were more custom options available in order to drill down by different segmentations

What do you like best about the product?
Tracking funnel performance and seeing where users drop out of the funnel
The support of the Amplitude team has been great! They are so eager to answer our questions and have a very quick response time which I really appreciate!
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many events make it hard to see where customers go next if not the event you're investigating. I think that understanding our own events being populated would be very beneficial and even though we are in a free version, speaking to a representative about what we would need from our data in order for Amplitude to capture it would be something I would be very appreciative of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing where customer come from who convert (ie their user journeys to conversion)
I cannot wait until our team upgrades to a paid version as I would love to use some of the tools like cohorts or customer journeys to further analyze our data.
I think that our team has so much we would like to use Amplitude for and just dont really know where to start as there is so much data available to use. We want to really understand conversion drivers, paths to purchase, and where customer go elsewhere if they are not completing our application

Easy-to-use Product Insight

  • December 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is easy to integrate. Shipping product analytics with any feature release is painless, and the insights are powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some missing features that force us to use DB analytics instead at times. For examples, joining on event properties, or grouping by users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're building a virtual bookkeeping service for freelancers. Amplitude lets us measure traction and feature use.

What do you like best about the product?
Lots of various ways to look at the data and see through multiple aspects of engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not that easy to start with since it's a sophisticated system there's a certain level of complexity with an initial barrier that needs to be overcome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Churn users - see what their journey was before they decided to leave.
