Intuitive, powerful analytics platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like the structure of Amplitude in that you can easily create dashboards for different projects and track your releases for each product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how easy it is to accidentally add the wrong events to track. I have to work really closely with our developer and check constantly to see if the right event is being tracked in the right way. We made a mistake in December where the developer renamed the events to remove dashes which rendered all our data from the last 3 months to be essentially unusable because I had to duplicate all the charts again and start from that day moving forward. We now have separate charts from pre-changing the event names and after changing them. Although I did set up the instrumentation and taxonomy, it's still unclear how to track certain user properties that are unique to our app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the blindness we had on how people were using our products, which helped with design and identifying usability issues. It's helped us measure the impact of our releases.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd recommend testing out the platform with the free account. It's quite robust and has unlimited number of viewers/editors.

Highly flexible, but with some really key "out of the box" templates & reports
What do you dislike about the product?
Once the number of events gets up there, it can be an effort to keep them all organised and clean (e.g., modifying / changing existing events is quite a challenge, and if changing events much, it get's quite messy)

New Generation Behavioral Analytic Tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is a cutting edge technology- no technical skills required same as Tableau, Python, SQL, etc. (Have a good visualization feature)
What do you dislike about the product?
Challenging to implement for big sites/ multiple domains/ complex data layer/ websites that always implement changes, because new events/ event properties to be designed to send to Amplitude

Visualization & Data Collection- Showing Revenues of Businesses; Behavior Analysis of Users & their properties.

Create multiple cohorts & analyse each in details with amazing charts for crisp interpretation.
What do you dislike about the product?
With power comes complexity and I think Amplitude should have account managers who can train company's to utilise their tools to the fullest.

Customer journey, acquistion, retention & pretty much everything!

With Amplitude I can create complex and specific cohorts, very useful for marketing.

The interface is intuitive, great integration with our app.

We would like to connect and automatically export our data to another service like geckoboard or firebase for instance

Great insights about our users, veryifying that everything works and checking on user behavior

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to implement, build funnels, check the funnel by customer segments - look at data over a timeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had to struggle to identify what to track and what event to instrument. A custom guide on what to track and how to identify right events was a journey.
In addition - retention analysis for the current month was often incomplete.
The feasibility to experiment and track experiment was not clear.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a customer product organization, we are trying to understand our customer funnel, their engagement behavior what are the right nudges that can divert customers on the right path, and what is the right time for that nudge.

The pricing model is really opaque and quite expensive for startups.

Lots of functionality but needs better documentation or training

You get deep into the analytics with huge amounts of granularity.

Given the complexity of the tool, there's no training from their staff and the documentation isn't great for teaching others in the company.
