Setting up Amplitude is easy but could use more guidance
What do you like best about the product?
I'm currently using Amplitude to test out an MVP so it's great to be able to see individual users' behaviours, how they move through the app and how long they spend on certain screens. I imagine that this isn't super beneficial when you have many users but for my small userbase it is amazingly helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there are many features I'm probably unaware of and I feel a bit lost on where to start. Even though I know I could just research this, I just haven't yet! It would be helpful to have more guidance on charts especially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We just started testing an MVP and it's still early days, so at this point we are trying to just figure out if our simple product is viable and if users really benefit from our idea. So far I think we have benefited from Ampltidue mostly by being able to view in detail how users behave with different features in the app. It's been great because now I know which users to call for an interview based on how active/inactive they are or if they are using our app in an unexpected way.
Funneling made easy
What do you like best about the product?
The funneling in amplitude for turns of events is quite easy to check upon for the analysis of any feature set. The user properties sent across to events can easily be equipped and used to manipulate the data sets and get clear picture.
What do you dislike about the product?
Daily update over mails / slack channels in a non enterprise version would have been great. And users are shown as unique over here, and not totals for funneling piece .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data insights, analytics , readiness of data sets have been easy and time saver in terms of other tools. And easy graphs like language, app versions, geographical basis ready made graphs are some great value adds.
Powerful anayltics tools, great for company wide self service
What do you like best about the product?
UI is very straightforward, with lots of possibilities for analysis. It's easy to onboard colleagues in the tool so they can view data or even make their own graphs. Documentation is handy and Amplitude has a lot of great resources and webinars on the subject matter.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want the ability to change the time period for a whole dashboard without having to reconfigure every chart. Sharing ownership of graphs so a whole team can edit a dashboard could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude to understand how our users use our features. Our feature success metrics and north star metric are tracked and communicated to the whole company in Amplitude. We monitor adoption and engagement tightly for all deployments and our Customer Success team is autonomous. Amplitude allowed us to transfer our cumbersome legacy analytics system to a fully self service and transaprent solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A solid proposition in the Product Analytics market. Paid version for complete feature set is quite expensive but the free version already provides a lot of value.
My Most Used Analytics Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Amplitude is it's ease of use, particularly as someone with minimal programming abilities. I don't need to use any programming to analyze my data or understand my users.
I also really like the ease at which I can create dashboards and share them with my team. I am able to create multiple dashboards for myself to analyze different parts of my product, but also create a dashboard for the CEO and marketing team.

What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest difficulty with Amplitude is the retention analysis. It does work properly and I can get the numbers I am looking for, but I find that it can be hard to read the different types of retention. I would also like to be able to see an average over a period versus strictly specific days. I.e. what is my average 7 day retention over a 1 month period.
I also find wish it had some capabilities more similar to a BI tool. For most things Amplitude is great but because it only works on events over a period you can't get a good holistic view of your product. I.e. total registered users, or total transactions. Most analyses are limited to 90 days

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to understand our product and how it is being used. I analyze all of our users interactions with the products using Amplitude. The most significant benefit has been analyzing where users drop-off when going through our main funnel which has allowed us to focus development on improving the problematic areas of our website.
Amplitude Analytics Review
What do you like best about the product?
Funnel Tracking for conversion rates by event
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to say what I would dislike about Amplitude. The interface is straightforward and easy to integrate—possibly better data extraction and compilation through excel docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been looking at conversion rates for our customers using event tracking. The benefits to doing this have been seeing where we have the largest pain-points regarding customer drop-off rates.
Actionable and easy to set up
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is easy to set up. After the technical implementation, you get actionable data and insights in a few minutes. It is straightforward to learn how to create valuable charts and visuals based on aggregate data.
On the other hand, Amplitude also has enough granularity to dig deeper into your users' behavior. It allows you to follow the journey of individual users using the user path and user stream features.
I also like the fact that they are many options to segment events and users, which allows you to create ad-hoc visuals for anything you need.
Finally, the presence of a free starter plan makes it very easy for start-ups to try out this tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot of options to customize the look and feel of your charts.
After creating a dashboard with multiple charts, there is no easy way to update all charts simultaneously (for example, changing the dates or segment). You have to go into each chart individually, make the change, and save it. It feels a bit clunky.
I would have liked to be able to export the entire data for some user segments or events.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us a lot to validate our product-market fit. We were able to evaluate if users were completing our funnels and following the flows we had imagined. Based on this data, we tweaked some features and UI elements.
It also helps to monitor in real-time our user base (activity level, most frequent events, stickiness, retention, etc.). We have created dashboards to track all relevant metrics for us.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Carefully read the documentation if you are not familiar with such a product. Structuring the events takes a bit of thought and may not be straightforward for newcomers.
Easy to use, intuitive and nice design
What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to manage all the data and get the results that you want to analyze
What do you dislike about the product?
Since today, in my level of use, I do not have any lacks using the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me with all the data analysis, complementing other data sources that give me all the information on social media. With Amplitude, I can measure and analyze all the data about my users once I had their personal information.
Convenient data analytics with an intuitive good user interface
What do you like best about the product?
- Excellent user interface, very intuitive and responsive
- Easy to use API for integration
- Cohort management(import/export) to work with other data analaysis applications or get import raw data which is exported by the developers
- User and Cohort filtering for almost all visualizations
- Notebook interface: Brilliant interface for making reports, familiarity with Jupyter notbooks made this a good experience, one of the best features a data analyst can have
- Funnel analysis: Easily undertstand the drop offs and drill down
- Impact analysis: Easily undertstand performing an event would lead to performing future events
- Other features I liked: Retention analysis chart, Compass chart, Persona clusters, User composition

What do you dislike about the product?
Some charts restrict events analysis for shorter timespans like "user does an event within 7 days of first use," but that may not be the case for secondary features. It could be nice to have this rolling period expended for a month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Find user action flows in case of error or conversion scenarios: the sankey chart is realy helpful in performing this operation using the path finder feature
- Discover various cohorts: Using Personas chart then downloading the cohorts and taking actions from there
- Discover which features lead to higher retention with the retention analysis chart
- Finding corelation between user properties and their behaviour on the application
- Measuring the impacts of app release on the usage patterns of the user

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the trial and Amplitude online sessions to confirm your expectations can be met
Couldn't do my job without it
What do you like best about the product?
Great charts, great slicing of data, easy combining of data, my developers found it easy to implement
What do you dislike about the product?
No A/B testing support and that's all I have that's not good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick insights that I can show graphs to my CEOs that they understand. Showing the power of split testing and showing that changes are having a positive and negative impact on $$
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get your dev team to evaluate it first, plan a naming convention, have a 6 monthly plan to remove old name events
A essential asset in product management and data analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I like how its super easy and friendly to use. I've never used it before and it only took me a few times to understand and create good funnel analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to restrain or to segment some visions with properties and segments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversion rates, drops, event segmentation. I've noticed that I can have answers quickly than using another tool or even a spreadhsheet.
