Great tool to observe user flow and behavior
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is really easy to use, which is important since it collects tonnes of events. I love the dashboard view where I can just glance at it and see the user trends this week or month. It's never been easier for me to create really in-depth reports. One of my favorite features is the ability to add information about releases. This allows me to monitor whether or not a particular release is having an impact on our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be really great if I could switch from the user view to the view of the entire client company. Maybe I just do not know how to do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I publish some improvements to the app, I can check how it works and if our users benefit from it.
Best solution to boost your mobile app
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is an all-in-one solution to track user activity, have a complete analytic pack, analyze the user behaviors and boost your startups. The Retention Analysis and also Lifecycle are two game changer features for early stage startups, which you could use to measure the performance of your key features on the app and improve the user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although they have every key metrics and chart to measure the app function, it's not 100% user-friendly. You should spend plenty of time on their documents and tutorials to find out how to work with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using amplitude to measure user retention, which is more accurate compare to other analytic tools. Also, we use it for our A-B testing to find out which features on the app are more popular in different countries.
Great tool for creating your own dashboards without the help of BI teams!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy to use the product is. Everything is clear and pretty self-explanatory. I was able to create a dashboard in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact the dashboards automatically save after every change. I would have preferred the original would stay saved, and only if I choose to could I override it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am creating my own dashboards without the use of external resources and teams. It makes it easier to run campaigns quickly and measure quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Connect to an external data source and don't rely only on the built-in data points.

- Necessarily requires an event management tool because the one available in the free version is not sufficient

- Understanding of problems related to use on all user journeys
- Ability to understand what users do when they do not achieve the goal
- Ability to extract users in the bit to identify them and conduct one-to-one interviews

super useful for mobile app product analytics. This is hooked into all of our apps and honestly we would have lots of problems without it.
also the free tier restriction here of not being able to create dynamic cohorts is kind of annoying, but can be mostly worked around with the right identify calls
however, not great for web analytics. we did hook this up to our marketing website too, and there are better tools out there for web analytics

Great tool but nothing can be done for historical data!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to query the events without going to the product database again and again.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to have historical data get the timestamps we want to give them.

Capacity to add events with data and later filter through those data, a wonderful guide to integrate into your app and has a very good sharing dashboards systems

Sometimes the info is receive duplicated and sometimes is no very intuitive

Know where the user drop out on the principal funnel of the app, how users from different platforms convert and what are the products the client interact more with

Try the free version, has plenty of events monthly to see is what you looking for

I like the ability to create different formats of graphs quickly and easily. Setting up dashboards are great and super handy.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to compare graphs side by side with different filters attached, but it not update them accross dashboards. This would be great for diving into why something has changed in a KPI we are monitoring. For example today I wanted to see why a CTR had increased after a certain day, so I kept filtering for users who performed X or Y. It would have been easier to compare if I could view the graphs simultaneously or overlapped.
The dashboards can be awkward to arrange, the drag and drop can be a bit difficult.
The most frustrating thing is that it's hard to remove or clear out old graphs. You can't delete graphs made by other teammates, and they just disappear into the history never to be used or found. They the search functions get cumbersome, especially when some people don't name well.

We have noticed where drop off is happening enabling us to address it, been able to view our growth and compare to targets, seen how changes we make to the website or product affect our performance so we know if they work

Amplitude is a powerful and flexible tool that lets you present data in a valuable way from the simplest cases to much more difficult problems

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that we can see accurate data at every step of the user journey and then Click to Inspect and download the user information too.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not as user friendly as I thought it would be. While most of the features (especially Event Segmentation and Funnel Analysis) is very useful, it takes a while to understand the grouping methods.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I look at the daily engagement KPI's for our app that include - active users, returning users, dance completed converson percentage, dance started percentage and the overall growth metrics that shows dormant and active users.
This results in easy day to day anazlying with my manager and them team and also provides direction of what we need to solve for.

the learning curve is not very steep. The interface is intuitive!
What do you dislike about the product?
Organization of one's charts and dashboards could be improved. I always struggle to find my charts among the ones created by my colleagues and added to the shared workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Amplitude, I've been able to gain and share with my colleagues visibility into product usage data, and perform quick analyses to understand user patterns and behaviors.

You'll be able to reap more benefits on higher tiers. The analyses that can be done on the basic tier are pretty ...basic
