Review Amplitude Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Accurate and intuitive software. Funnel analysis is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the run time is slow, and events have unintuitive names. I realize that is on our team, but perhaps there's a better way to empower organizing/sorting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Typically funnel analysis. Really helpful in understanding when/how folks drop off

Amplitude is amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude has great analytics module and very easy to use non-technical audience. The best part of all is great amplitude support, I love them!!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
some analytics modules can be overwhelming to people at first glance, wish amplitude can provide more out of box standard dashboard template across industries
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product analytics, customer behavior analytics, it's huge to get the data accessible across the company! Thank you Amplitude
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to self-serve and dive into data
What do you dislike about the product?
Limits on how you can lay out dashboards
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Diving into product/usage analytics
- Using cohorts to track how feature usage can affect other parts of the business
- Using cohorts to trigger marketing automation

I would recommend
Epic analytics platform for start ups
What do you like best about the product?
The out-of-the-box graphs and functionality make it easy to pull together ad-hoc insights on how the platform is behaving. I love the ability to spin up new charts quickly and add them to their relevant dashboards, whether it's high-level KPIs or granular behavioral metrics. The out-of-the-box calculations also make it easy to see similar analyses in different ways (unique, vs. total, vs. average etc on the event segmentation analysis). I also think the hand-holding that Amplitude does on the 'stickiness' analysis are really helpful, especially for those who are slightly less familiar with digital engagement metrics. The development teams have always found Amplitude easymaking any analytics team lead's job much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most significant struggle I have is how many options there are for implementing different types of events. Sometimes developers will use similar events in different ways. Variations in implementation are probably more on the implementation team than any specific problem with Amplitude, but for example, tracking user pathing analysis can be challenging because of the different ways developers can add site navigation within their code structure. I also wish it was easier to remove outliers from analysis when looking at a bar or line graph.
Another challenge can be page layout, occasionally the graphs in large dashboards will load on top of each other. Usability of the dashboards are important, especially for our executive audiences.

Using Amplitude, we have answered questions for our investors, quickly summarizing KPIs such as DAUs, WAUs, and MAUs, return frequency, time spent in-app (I love the frequency chart of that because it shows outliers). Dashboards with KPIs are highly beneficial because it is how the start-ups we work with unlock more capital. We have also been able to answer super granular questions about our users, where do they come from, what version of iOS they are on, and what version they are on. This allows us to hone in marketing tactics even without segmenting users on the paid plan. We have also solved retention problems by understanding what our stickiest in-app features are, and how we can lean into those features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If speed to insights is an essential factor, then Amplitude is the analytics platform you should choose. The SDK allows users to learn about their users, their behaviors quickly and dig into the features that users care about most. Slicing key metrics by customer and behavioral dimensions couldn't be easier.
Effective Tool for Product-Oriented Analytics Organizations
What do you like best about the product?
Its intentional focus on the needs and visual preferences of Product Managers, rather than being overly technical.
Frequent new features.
Frequent new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Relatively little customization of visualizations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any and all product analytics questions. It's the data life-blood of the organization. It's been transformative.
Amplitude is one of the best platforms I've ever used to track product analytics!
What do you like best about the product?
Great UI, simple processes, flexible metrics
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't change more complicated settings or functions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking product analytics related to acquiring customers, retaining them, and monetizing product features
Greatly simplifies the process for 90% of your data needs
What do you like best about the product?
The simple ease of use. If you're looking for trends, cohorts, or funnels, it's stupid how simple those queries are in Amplitude. You need next to zero training to start creating your own reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks some of the more advanced functionality. From y/y reports or more advanced cohorting, some reports are still kind of hard to create.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have democratized the use of data in our decision-making. No longer does everyone need to write their own SQL or know Tableau like an expert to answer fundamental questions for their team.
How Amplitude can help your day-to-day analytics
What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely user friendly. One can learn all the tools quickly, and just by simply using it. I use it on a day to day basis. Without it it would take way longer than it does now, you avoid doing querys all the time and building graphs with it, structuring data that may be parsed wrong. It's just extremely useful and customable. I would say that it's a very good friend for a data Analyst. Also i would like to add that it was extremely easy to learn on my first days in this role, so it will help the new joiners to feel useful from day 0.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to create automatized alerts for "unhealthy" or "unusual" values of metrics (sometimes you need to create custom metrics, now this is available only for direct metrics)
Customization of dashboards is easy, but it should have a different way to rearrange graphs in it. I've always struggle dragging and dropping the graph in places that i didn't want to.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basic analysis of features. Like health check of old features or status checks of new ones. Follow up of KPIs that are important for the company, and that help us measure the health of the product. Detect unusual behavior.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I do not know other tools similar to Amplitude, butso far i enjoyed it. As i stated before it was extremely easy to learn on my first days in this role, so it will help the new joiners to feel useful from day 0, and it help you reduce time with a lot of tasks that otherwise would be very high time consuming.
Amplitude is our main analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to integrate, friendly for non-tech users
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrations and segmentations are on the paid plan that requires a larger volume than we currently have
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is our primary analytics tool in the product team. We've been able to easily track the user journey and make more driven data decisions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very easy to implement and to use. Cheaper than Mixpanel for lower volumes.
An easy way to understand your analytics flows
What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty easy to get started with Amplitude. You can create a cohort or a chart, and while their more advanced features aren't hidden, they also are a few clicks in, so you won't get tripped up while you're still getting used to the platform at the beginner level.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more advanced features either require more data than we collect to be useful or are less "smart" than they seem - I can't really tell the difference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude to evaluate messaging tests that I run with Braze. I can understand at a much higher level the impact of my campaigns on whichever downstream events I'm interested in.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When onboarding, get as much training from Amplitude as possible.
