powerful for quick views into the data
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is very good at quickly pulling event related data and creating easy-to-understand visuals
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude is quite limited in its function. there are very few advanced features, and many analyses have to be done manually as they cannot be computed within Amplitude
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
very quick way to pull data for quick questions that come from cross functional stakeholders
Great for Product Analytics, OK for Marketing Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The product is generally user-friendly and powerful. The funnel vizualations are amongst the best I've used with a tool like this, and there is a lot of configurability with how you want to see your data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two major issues:
1. The dashboarding functionality is really weak. It's nowhere near as powerful as Looker, for example, and I often find myself exporting data to Sheets to be able to actually vizualize it how I want. (In some views, you can't even create a bar chart with a time series.)
2. It's not great for marketing analytics, as everything is user- rather than session-based. You can create audiences based only on users, not on sessions (with even GA4 allows). There isn't a great mechanism for understanding landing pages, source/mediums, etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude provides more insight into user-level behavior than its competitors. This has been really valuable for us to understand what is motivating our users to convert.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to pivot information within one chart, how easy it is to make copies of charts, how easy it is to move charts into dashboards, and the visual components.
What do you dislike about the product?
This may be a user error, but not seeing totals on data columns below the charts. It also takes a decent time to load when I'm making changes to a chart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have 30 different sites as a publisher, so being able to layer cohort information in addition to traffic events across so many different sites and visitors has been extremely helpful.
A powerful weapon for Analytics

What do you dislike about the product?
It's really difficult to find something that I don't like inside Analytics, but nowadays the complexity of deep analyses like Personas. It is really difficult to expand for all teams.

-> Understanding why the users are dropping off the funnel.

Great platform for Product Analytics and sending data to my CRM
What do you like best about the product?
I work in growth in a B2B SaaS, and Amplitude helps us analyze all our product data and create marketing workflows based on user behaviors by connecting Make with Active Campaign to centralize all customer data.
What do you dislike about the product?
They could improve their visualizations. They are very limited in terms of customization for data visualization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us centralize all our customer data in one single platform
Amplitude helps quickly get insights
What do you like best about the product?
It helps build dashboards, analyze experiments, and monitor our ecommerces product analytics
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to QA events, and sometimes it is hard to talk to a rep on very specific questions since they don't fully understand our business goals or historical views of analysics
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me monitor business health, analyze experiments, and also catch any user issues
Amplitude has unlocked insights for our team
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create views that are easy to share. Did not take a lot of time to implement (we connected through Segment). It is something I rely on day!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the navigation is a bit cumbersone to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us understand what users are doing in our platform. That's a very simple statement, but sometimes a difficult problem to solve.
Easy product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use dashboards, funnels, metrics tracking
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes difficult to understand exact tracking
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accessibilty of analytics to product team
A simple UX to build powerful charts
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude offers a wide variety of visualizations that are easy to build even for non-technical folks. I love that you can use the event explorer to easily find the events that you're trying to visualize and quickly add filters to easily get to the subset of data that you're trying to analyze
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm typically visualizing data to help tell a story and I find the collaboration features a bit clunky. I'd love to be able to quick share a chart with a co-worker without having to click multiple buttons to generate a public link. Then if the correct permissions aren't applied, my co-worker can't adjust the chart to see anything different.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics is helping us get quick access to our customer usage data for our SaaS software
Powerful and effective tool for exploration and insights
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude has provided our teams with user-friendly ways to explore user behavior and conversion through our funnel. Our end users are not traditional data consumers, and Amplitude has allowed us to democratize data through it's self-service report and dashboard builder. On the engineering side, Amplitude can be implemented in a variety of lightweight ways, which has allowed us to move quicky in integrating data into our business process. Despite its ease of use, the filtering, grouping, and segmentation tools are powerful enough to meet all of our data needs. Several members of our team use Amplitude daily to drive buisiness decisions. We've also had positive experiences with Amplitude customer support, and found them to be responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
We maintain multiple user-facing applications that serve separate use cases for our user base, and linking / merging user sessions effectively across these applications was challenging during startup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is our primary data source for user behavior on our platform. We use Amplitude to test and monitor conversion through our eCommerce funnel, which is relatively complex as compared to others. We have used Amplitude data to drive decisions on UI/UX, inventory, and pricing for a variety of user segments and discrete sales opportunities.
