Good product, changed the game for us in terms of reporting and how we report back to our execs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the features are not enough. We would like to see the ability to customize the charts and make it easier to show details how we want to. But I think they roll out new features and this should be in the works after talking with our CSM. Maybe they could integraste with our IBM dashboards to send the info we need in the ways we want it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better reporting for execs that is reliable with segment being the source of truth. We are seeing our customer behavior in email comms, in app, and on the platform. really learning how someone goes through our platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Know your own companies data to optimize amplitude. This is essential in getting the best out of the product. Get consultants to get you trained quickly in order for team to hit the ground running

1. Amplitude is a really powerful tool. Allow you to dive deep into the data to understand your product.
2. It helps not only to analysis your running experiments but also to check the overall health of the product on a daily basis.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. What I don't like is that it doesn't give any prior notice before your events limit is about to exceed.

The best part is the user lookup feature that helps to understand users' experience and how they're interacting with the product.
It gives you a clear picture of how you're thinking that your user should interact with the product v/s how they are actually interacting.

You just have to put conditions and voila!!!

I need to copy and paste all charts on a dashboard even if I want to change only one variable on a Dashboard. Dashboards should have variables

Real time data monitoring is solved by Amplitude. We as a team look for lots of metrics from our Amplitude dashboards

Start to use it as soon as possible. Amplitude helped us a lot. Since it starts to collect its own data starting earlier is very very important.

It's quite easy to use and it offers quite a wide range of dashboards and analysis tools. It's also super user friendly and it doesn't require too much tehc knolwedge.

Sometimes it doesn't synch perfectly with the backend, but there are no major differences

It's a great choice if you want to have access to quick analytics and empower your team to build their own dashes.
It is much easier to get charts needed for product analysis but a lot of inconsistencies for utm

Ease of use in setting up specific types of charts, sharing with teammates, digging deeper into data, custom events, exports, custom user attributes.

Some IA and navigation don't quite make sense (e.g. saved dashboards vs pinned dashboards, spaces).
Restructuring data if you don't like the way you originally set it up is a bit of a pain, but I suspect this is the case with any vendor. For example, we had to redo work to unify our iOS and Android projects into one mobile project.

Understanding user behavior in our product, finding groups of users that have taken a particular action, monitoring launches to make sure things are working as intended.
Solid starter tool for BI & analytics needs
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like best about Amplitude is the ability to create funnel analyses and filter the data at each step in the funnel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawbacks to Amplitude is that there is some learning curve to understanding what each type of analysis can and cannot do. Secondarily, I wish I could pull in other data sources beyond purely tracked events, but that requires more powerful BI tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we're able to solve with Amplitude is to quickly analyze various funnels to get in-depth analyses about our funnels, which areas we're converting well and which we're not.

Variety of charts and functions available for free and paid tiers. Available filters and multi event charting is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation is narrow. Videos are help documentation with text to speech. It would be useful to have my interactive exercises to master new chart types.

What do you like best about the product?
I love having all of my website events in the same space, with the ability to compare them across all geo locations, dates, users, etc. It's easy to spot spikes in revenue and keep track of product updates to learn more about what works and what doesn't.
What do you dislike about the product?
Figuring out formulas is tricky, I wish there was a way to choose what view you want, and have the formula auto-populate without reading blogs on the correct formula usage. I also would love a way to connect a list of users to Google Ads or other ad platforms to create personas and improve marketing channels with customized audiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to see where the dropoff is between converting users and non converting, and which events on our site are used most frequently in the purchase funnel. The ability to group events has made our analyzing a lot more intuitive and I benefit greatly from the analytics provided.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product when looking to see the funnel from a variety of events happening on your website/app. Endless opportunities when linked to all your other tracking, email, automation programs.

Amplitude has helped us understand our user's activation and engagement better. We have been able dive deeper into what is driving dropoff and what helps retain users.
