Easy to navigate and build proper charts, but some UI pieces feel inconsistent.

Defining cohorts and slicing through data that way

What do you dislike about the product?
Some UI pieces feel intrusive and out of the overall experience (chatbot, user survey recruitment, onboarding flows) - as well as inconsistent with the actual design language of the product.
Charts are not interactive when it comes to keyboard users.
Dynamic user properties like Language and OS should be event properties as they constantly change - data cannot be trusted from my perspective when querying that way.

Great analytics for product management!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the pathfinder feature, this allows us to understand how our users navigate through our platform and helps us to create more engaging experiences for our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The creation of some dashboards can be a bit complex, especially if the name of "events" are difficult to identify or find. It would be great to have a guided process that walks you through each step in the process for PMs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us solve many different problems, but the one that helps the most is end-user engagement. We are able to see where our users drop off, or whether they are using new features so we can iterate quickly.

Data can get messy, and requires discipline for different teams to use well.

Helping discover user behaviors and validate new features.

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude helps us clearly track how our customers use and interact with our products and view that data clearly and meaningfully. I have also noticed that generating reports is faster and easier than some of the previous products I've used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude, along with most data solutions, is only as valuable as the data you put in. It is a complex solution to a complex problem meaning there is a learning curve. If your organization does not take the time to plan out the architecture and taxonomy, it will most certainly come back to bite you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We must understand how our users interact with our products and where they encounter blockers or deviate from our expected usage. Amplitude allows us to track user behavior and even monitor specific cohorts to validate our assumptions.
Solid tool with nearly every visualization you would ever need
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude does a lot of the work for you in getting data visualization set up. No more messing around with which series belongs on which axis or putting together a calculation to determine whether to segment users on a 24-hour window or strict calendar dates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data table feature of Amplitude isn't the most intuitive, sometimes requiring creative workarounds to get to the data you are looking for. Given that I'm primarily looking for visualizations when working in Amplitude, this isn't a huge deal, but it can be tricky seeing the actual numbers to verify the data is correct at a glance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is our go-to when it comes to analysis and data visualization, and it is adequately meeting that need. It's a very user-friendly experience that makes data visualization much faster than charting through Excel or Google Sheets.

There's sometimes a long delay when saving things or moving things around in the directory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Can share charts and dashboards with stakeholders very easily without having to create a slide-deck or other modes of presentation.
Good analytics product, but needs vintage graphs.

Segments, formulas, custom events, and the ability to remove or change events.
What do you dislike about the product?
The retention graphs. I want to be able to see vintages in the graphs. Right now, it is simply one retention curve that averages across all vintages.

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes it easy to break users down into cohorts and figure out how those users are engaging with particular features in your product. Compared to Mixpanel, it seems a bit more advanced.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude is a bit more complex (read:robust) than some other tools in the market, which can make it tricky to understand. Pricing seems to be a bit high (but not overly) so tracking every event isn't always possible
