Useful tool for developers
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a software engineer and I like it because I can check any user data that I need in some reasonable time w/o checking columns in different tables and building complex SQLs. It saves me a lot of time when I need to validate some hypothesis/test
What do you dislike about the product?
TBH I find the interface a bit overcomplicated. I'm not an analyst and I don't use this 3 times per day, therefore every time when I login into it, I struggle with finding the proper view for my task. I think it would be very useful to create a window where a few different problems are described (I want to compare students, I want to check historical data, etc) and choose one of them and the beginning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usually, I have 2 different workflows: I compare a few cohorts of users based on their characteristics and check numbers for different features (how it grows, what is the overall amount of users, etc)

What do you like best about the product?
I don't have that much experience with many other data analytics tools, but Amplitude really makes it so easy and intuitive to find important information to inform product decisions that I find it hard to hard a better product. Keep it up guys!
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboards could be seen at a space level rather than a user level so that users present on that space can all see the Dashboard without the need to invite anyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Informing us on points inside the product where we can improve and focus on. That makes us ship product that solves user problems based on analytics.

What do you like best about the product?
Even the free version of Amplitude is already super helpful, but the premium features are next level - there are so many ways people can achieve their goals in our product and Amplitude surfaces and helps us understand where our product is working well and where we have room for improvement
What do you dislike about the product?
Just like with any quant tool, data quality and disciplinned approach to data collection is key - it is not always possible to plan everything perfectly - naming of events for example is one of those things, where getting something wrong from day one will bite you eventually. There are add ons like "transform", but they come at extra cost, which is verry strange - paying for fixing "mistakes" which are not always possible to avoid in the first place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is helping us answer the full spectrum of questions: from general business topics like product-market-fit, to day-to-day product ops topics like easy/efficiency/effectiveness/relevance of designed user journeys.
Unrivaled analytics tool, though pricing may discourage small business adoption.
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspect of Amplitude is its ease of implementation from a developer's perspective. As a Product Manager and stakeholder, I can attest to it being the market leader, offering an extensive array of charts and analyses that significantly streamline the decision-making process. Additionally, its user-friendly interface makes it an ideal tool for Marketing teams to navigate effortlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
My primary gripe with Amplitude has always been its documentation, which was scattered across 2 or 3 websites, leading to fragmented content. Although they've made strides in improving this issue recently, it remains somewhat disorganized. Another shortcoming is the lack of practical, real-life examples or use cases. Much of this content is housed within their community site, which was not well-promoted until recently. For instance, I never received updates about products and features and only discovered that I needed to register with the Community to receive them—a major oversight, in my opinion. Lastly, the high price tag poses a challenge for small businesses, early-stage, and even medium-sized startups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude's primary benefit is its ability to consolidate data from various products onto a single platform, streamlining data management. Additionally, it boasts a robust selection of integrations with other systems.

It's low code tool that's easy to use and it covers most of the use cases for product analytics

it is difficult to set up integration and register events, the help of a programmer is required. You won't be able to do it yourself

The ability to create segments to visualize and have insights about some parts of my product funnel and to filter by version, country, and all the events that happen.

I think Amplitude could improve by enabling visualizing the customer experience while using the product, just like full story provides.

Amplitude is helping me have a better visualization of the performance of my product, so I can gather insights in which part should my focus be one for the next evolutions.
Pretty much the perfect tool for tracking and analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the UI is intuitive. When I need to do an analysis, and dig into the data, it’s usually a matter of a few clicks. I could basically always build whatever I needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
In a few cases, I had to do some workarounds and bend the system to get the data I wanted. That being said, this might have been the case for not necessarily using the best tool for the job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Determining whether some feature is used or not, and how much. Also, sometimes, it’s useful for troubleshooting issues.

- not so flexible as our own system of analytics
- some charts should calculate the same, but results different

it's easy for the product team to check feature usage, and there is no need to ask an analyst to run custom queries to the database, which usually takes longer.

The support team is also excellent, making it a top choice for businesses looking to gain a deeper understanding of their users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, but I would like to suggest Amplitude team to make some amplitude training video library that explains all features in amplitude.
