Basically a must-have for event-based product analytics

  • June 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and snappiness of the UI is so great, especially for non-SQL analytics consumers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on your analytics stack, it can be extra work to get some metrics (especially backend/business logic) to match other sources. My last team was still able to do it with a 'synthetic' event sync via Hightouch, so it wasn't a huge deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our use-case, it helped us take our existing event instrumentation via another tool, and migrate those events into Amplitude for analytics across our org.

Easy onboarding, countless insights

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude has been a valuable tool in my organisation to better understand user behaviours across our product. We have been using it daily for over three years and it has helped us dissect where drop-off is happening, where users are getting confused, and be able to target those users with A/B tests. Getting started was relatively self-explanatory and the online guides were short and simple to understand. Our tech team was able to set it up without issue. We tie the insights from Amplitude into some of our other data using Metabase, which was also a relatively straightforward thing to set up.

When Amplitude changed their pricing tiers, we were fully supported in understanding which tier fit best for us and were able to find a cost-effective way to continue to use Amplitude and make the most of their ever-growing set of features.

One of my favourite tools in Amplitude is combining the funnel tool with the user journey tool to better understand where our users are going when they aren't following the happy path.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest gap I find with Amplitude is in using it to create simple WoW reports, which is a common ask from stakeholders and upper management. Ideally, there would be a way to not just share a snapshot of now, but also what changed in the last X days, and whether it changed positively or negatively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude allows my team to better understand who our users are and how they are interacting with our product. This data supports our ability to create personas and cohorts that we can target with new features and feature tests. It also highlights areas of our product that are not performing well, or certain cohorts that might not be engaging in the way we want. Ultimately, this means better uptake across the product and better-informed decisions about our product.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Powerful analytics that a non-data analyst can use

  • June 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The depth of chart creation capabilities is amazing
What do you dislike about the product?
At larger organizations, definitions for various events can become complex and messy. There isn't an easy way (that I know of) to make it clear how certain filters and events are defined
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ampltiude helps us understand how well are marketing assets are performing across our core channels. Website, content and in-app. I'm able to easily see where we can improve in our conversion funnel to better allocate resources.

A powerful tool to track and understand user behavior

  • June 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I love most is how deeply it lets you explore user journeys. It helps me see where users drop off, how they interact with our features, and measure the impact of our marketing efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially for team members who aren’t familiar with analytics concepts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps solve one of the biggest challenges in product marketing: understanding what users actually do inside the product. Instead of relying on assumptions or scattered feedback, I can clearly see how users navigate the app, where they drop off, which features they engage with, and what leads to activation.

What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Great Product

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude has great visualisations, easy to use interface and great support. Compared to similar tools, their knowledge sharing sessions have been insightful and amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing serious discovered yet. The team has dealt with minor issues swiftly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude provides rollup tracking for our digital assets and real-time data streaming. The interface is easy to use, and the dashboard and visualisations are intuitive and easy to navigate, with AI-assisted queries. Team collaboration is also great within the platform as there are spaces for teams to manage and access their projects.

One of the standout features is the ability to present analysis in the form of content overviews without leaving the platform. This allows members of organisations to get concise summaries of complex analysis in an easy-to-read format.

Product analytics state of the art

  • June 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am using Amplitude on a daily basis. I can do everything that I want with Amplitude: funnels, retention charts, daily users (broken down by platform), user breakdown by property, monetisation analytics, anonymous analytics (it's much, much better than competitors), the integration is easy and well-documented (way better than competitors), the community forum is superb and very helpful. Cohorts are easy to create and manage, it's VERY easy to upload users to them and I can filter users out in the most quirky way. I can handle errors on Amplitude's side very easily (i.e. merge events together when events names are sent incorrectly, same for properties). Amplitude also works quite fast. Export to data warehouse is generally good and all the properties that I need are sent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost of the product. Automatic events like "new user" and "start session" and filtering for first time events work in a really inconvenient and opaque way. Poor support on subscription tiers lower than Growth. LTV charts are very opaque and don't seem to reflect reality. Integration with AppsFlyer is awful (although that's probably AppsFlyer's problem). The relationship between charts, dashboards and projects is very illogical. It's not obvious from the interface how users are assigned to groups when I group by properties: do we pick properties at the time of the event or the last stored properties from the user (yes, the answer is in the documentation but it should be in the UI). We may have been on a rather low subscription plan but Amplitude's account manager wasn't very helpful It is not possible to have a time range more than 365 days for most purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It tells me what users do in our web and mobile app. I use it to figure out what features to roll out (by analysing our AB tests) and who are our most paying users
