Best tool to use to capture detailed analytics - much better than google analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Amplitude is that most of its features are available in the free version, unlike other tools which is very helpful for small businesses.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks few features like page view tracking which is available in Google Analytics
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to understand customer behavior through Amplitude Analytics. It has helped us identify the user pain points and also understand the success of a new feature we ship.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to move beyond google analytics, amplitude analytics is the tool for you. Unlike Google Analytics which is majorly used for page view and session tracking, amplitude gives you a more detailed insight of user behavior by allowing you to track each and every action of the user.
Best in class tool. Makes 1 person worth a team.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn. Great documentation. Unparalleled out of the box charting capabilities. Has exactly the charts one needs to do proper product analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboard view doesn't support much customization other than placement of charts. Would like to leave notes/insights/comments for my stakeholders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude to get an idea of general feature usage and user retention/engagement/activation. I've never seen a tool that lets you manipulate cohorts so easily. Also, retention analysis super important, but Amplitude is the only tool I've found that actually makes it easy.
Allows you to expose the right kinds of analytics quickly and easily
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude lets you view the important things about your users, not just vanity analytics. It is flexible enough to let you create meaningful reports with analytics that are custom to your business, yet simple enough for anyone to use right out of the box without complex analysis skills. There are many ways to quickly and easily drill down into the data and save the views for later.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude Analytics is a little difficult to get setup. I found it a little complicated to get the right user id setup in the system, as there are a lot of choices in the documentation and there are a lot of nuances. I also wish it was easier to bulk upload old data, as I'm always finding myself in a situation where I wish I had more historical data about a particular event, and I have to wait for weeks for good history to populate.
One thing that could make it even easier to use would be to help train users more on what the different data views mean. There are many options, but to a new or untrained user, it can be overwhelming and can lead to incorrect findings if the data is read wrong. Training on what Uniques versus Event Totals mean, and can mean for your data, for example, would be helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making small changes to our website and quickly validating how the change has affected user behavior. I can quickly add in A/B testing as well and track how a change has impacted Active Users and their events. I have also been able to easily set up shareable dashboards to share key KPIs with external shareholders.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use this instead of Google Analytics if you care even a little bit about your website analytitcs.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Easy UX and precise data improve understanding for customers
What do you dislike about the product?
High cost and disorientation when I try to upgrade current plan
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Want to know how to remove hinges during customer UX
Amplitude provides the product intelligence for all companies that want to grow rapidly.
What do you like best about the product?
Crazy speed of queries. You can get great insight just in a couple of seconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is a little bit high for start ups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Insights on users' journeys and when customers are hard activated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Remember that analytics based on page view is wasting time.
Amplitude review
What do you like best about the product?
Offers startups a one year free trial, relatively easy to set up
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating dashboards on the web app is not super intuitive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude to track user engagements and retention
Powerful tool, but not great for everyone
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude gives me the flexibility I need to review data and learn about my users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that I could email reports on a weekly basis, and that some of the dashboard tools were more intuitive for non-technical users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude allows our team to better understand user behavior on our platform.
Solid analytic tool for a data-informed product team
What do you like best about the product?
The most common analyses are fairly straightforward to do in Amplitude, and they clearly care about making those useful out-of-the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of their user segmentation and event filtering is very error prone and has a lot of gotchas, which requires a lot of double-checking to make sure it's correct.
Their collaboration is mostly non-existent and it's very much single-player of a tool which sometimes is hard to work with, especially given the fact that most of their interface and UI is fairly slow and sluggish.
On top of that, some advanced analysis is really hard to do with Amplitude, which means we either can't do it, or that we need to use something like Tableau to get it done.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile app analytics to understand usage, retention, and what user journeys work best.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Careful with the pricing, can get expensive very quickly if sending a firehose of analytics.
As much depth as you want
What do you like best about the product?
Google Analytics didn't cut it anymore. My company needed engagement analytics that were easily configurable to see how users were truly interacting with our product.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is initial set up time to get the dashboards configured in a way that let's our analytics team run. These could be slightly easier to configure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Attribution - it was difficult with Google Analytics to figure out where growth was coming from. Amplitude is much better.
2. Dashboard selection- it is easy for different teams at the company to tune into only the dashboards that matter most
3.Configurability - it's easy to build reports that show correlation between disparate metrics. (i.e. churn and engagement)

I have enjoyed using Amplitude
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. As a complete novice, I was able to quickly understand the model of saving, opening and loading charts. I especially like how easy it is to make changes to existing charts without affecting the saved versions, encouraging experimentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Looking at event segmentation is the trickiest, it would be great to be able to utilise pivot tables, in a similar way to Looker
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Amplitude as our general data analytics platform, so for a combination of evaluating experiments and unearthing new insights.
