Best analytics tool I've used
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is super easy to navigate and pick up for new people
Amplitude is a codeless platform, so it's not hard for non-engineers to use
There comes with pre-set templates which was super helpful for me to get started. Especially on key metrics such as Retention
There are so many customizations that it helps you dig in very deep to user behaviour that you otherwise might miss

What do you dislike about the product?
cohorting feature needs to be improved - not well thought out just yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
key user behaviours such as rentention and activity. measuring growth and reaction after new feature releases
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it. It's truly user friendly and will provide your team with insights and data on many behaviours you never expected. Everytime you have a question you can easily pull it up to answer everything!
One thing I would say is ask who on your team needs to view these analytics. On one hand it is helpful for transperency and everyone to know but pricing wise it may make more sense to add the users who are behind the wheel for making key decisions. I would say Product, Engineering and Marketing need these insights for sure.
If you're a smaller startup, I also suggest you to get Amplitude set up immediately from the getgo. I've seen teams switch from Mixpanel afterwards because Amplitude is simply more powerful and easy to use. Save yourself the trouble and start right with Amplitude.

One of the best tools out there
What do you like best about the product?
Funnel analysis and event segmentation are both very useful
What do you dislike about the product?
The value of such tool is directly dependent on the quality of your instrumentation. Keep that in mind!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly, decentralize analytics resources to empower more people to consume the data they need.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Instrumentation quality is key.
Awesome !
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude has been a game changer in terms of visualizing our AB test performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, the data stream can be slower to load
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using Amplitude to speed up our AB testing analysis
Senior Growth Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and easy to use interface makes it easy to read data. Very simple to upload various user cohorts for analysis. I also really enjoy the real-time aspect of the data, it allows me to closely monitor performance across our whole product with very little additional lift. The wide array of different chart types and out of the box user attributes also allow for a very thorough analysis. Another great feature is the ability to share charts with colleagues and make tweaks while not altering the original version of said chart. This allows for maximum flexibility while not impacting the integrity of the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The feature descriptions could be better. The tool also used to show YoY analysis when using it's funnel chart types, but no longer seems to support that functionality with is extremely important to much of the analysis that I like to run on my funnel performance. One component that is confusing is the fact that some properties can be used interchangeably for 'events' and 'users' which sometimes results in different results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving user journeys to reduce friction and improve conversion. I also use amplitude to validate the results of many of the A/B split tests that we run to improve product performance and reduce user friction. It also allows me to quickly diagnose any broken features or journeys throughout the product due to shifts in user behavior that are immediately shown in the Amplitude data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've used my fair share of analytics tools and Amplitude is by far the most robust tool on the market as well as one of, if not the, easiest to use. They also integrate with a wide array of additional 3rd party tools.

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes it easy to answer any question about how your product is used.
It's got:
- Comprehensive report types (Funnels, Retention, and even some cool ones like pathfinder and personas)
- Super powerful segmentation. You can load crazy amounts of detailed data into it and it'll still give you fast answers.
- Built in governance & notifications (for when you accidentally break your tracking)

What do you dislike about the product?
My only real complaint is that as Amplitude has added features, the UI itself has gotten slower. I'm fine waiting a little while for data to process, but when the tab hangs so I can't configure my filters... that's annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run all of our product numbers through Amplitude. As a PM, it lets me pull answers to nearly everything so much faster than having to construct some involved SQL query.
It's the best analytical tools for product I've used to date
What do you like best about the product?
It structures the analytics into very actionable insights
What do you dislike about the product?
The tools is a little bit clunky and has a lot of power. So I see a lot of people glean incorrect results based on the filters selected or the chart used (ie funnel analysis vs. event segmentation).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product growth and retention. The best feature is the pathway/sankey charts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please invest more in templates!
A very solid platform for speed in decision making
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude as a platform is an incredible tool for prototyping visualizations and dashboards -- the ability to quickly move across types of charts and measurements while maintaining the information already supplied makes development very fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to track down the math going on under the hood when you have questions around methodology
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform serves as an ability to monitor conversion of pages in realtime, with the ability to drill down into individual utm sources. The benefits come from how easy it is to modify the visualizations, with answers to follow up questions being answered in real time, rather than waiting for a team to fit a request into their sprint for a new visualization
Amazing tool when used correctly
What do you like best about the product?
The customizable experience and the boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to refresh to get the updated data on an open tab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting to know what the users are doing on the app I develop.
Amplitude helping us make faster decisions and take the guess work out of matching users to devices
What do you like best about the product?
It’s super easy to drag and drop and they have all the key event tracking charts like funnels and flows. Also their matching algo for aggregating the multiple devices in to one user
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it’s difficult to make cohorts relative to the same data in SQL
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’re trying to optimize our signup funnel and this easily shows the event funnel and if segments are set up properly it’s easy to compare cohorts
Product Analytics Visualization Beast
What do you like best about the product?
We use it mostly for product analytics. I really like how they make it easy to create cohorts, modify a report without messing someone else's up, and build a visualization. It makes it easy to build decks for stakeholders and show the impact of the product or the potholes we may be seeing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It may be our internal set up of events but the naming conventions can be tough to understand. The other gripe I have is that I want to have the timing of the report dates most customizable. If I want to have a report that is more than four quarters of data we are unable to do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to run loads of experiments and it is the core visualization of the product data. When you have a product that changes really quickly like our we need to be able to see in "real-time" how changes are impacting our users and Amplitude helps us do this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool for product analytics. It makes visualization and experimentation really easy for us.
