What do you like best about the product?
I can track anything on the product, segregate data, and go deeper in my analyses
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't create automatically cohort without paid
It's difficult to known the first event triggered by user when you have many entry points on your product

Great tool and fast onboarding

What do you like best about the product?
When I started using the tool my team had already completed the initial configuration, so all I had to do was login and start using the tool. I expected a learning curve, but that wasn't really the case. I was surprised by how fast it was to onboard as a first-time user. Once the integration is completed and configured it is pretty fast to start using the tool. It took me half a day to start to analyze some of our usage data and gather useful insights on my product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup takes time and requires considerable development effort. But I don't really see how this could be avoided since the integration happens at a code level. I've also noticed that the articles aren't always helpful and it's not always easy to find the learning material you need. One of the most useful pieces of training material was a YouTube video from an Amplitude employee. It had a low visualization count but provided me with the fastest overview of the most-useful use cases. I'd like to see such content put more in front of users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had large amounts of usage data, but little insights have been collected out of it. That's exactly what I get with Amplitude. The benefits are saving time that otherwise would go wasted building and executing queries, as well as a better understanding of my product--which in my case I use for product prioritization and for the planning of executive initiatives.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a large amount of data that is sitting and you're either not using it, or you see that using it requires extensive effort from your business team, I suggest you considering Amplitude.

What do you like best about the product?
The visual appearance of amplitude and the easiness to tag every action your website's users perform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an easier way to display classic Google Analytics data, such as time on page, page click depth. I know where they are, but they are not as intuitive as in GA.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly, I use Amplitude for funnel analysis of users starting from pageview to subscription, and what paths they take. So far I've:

- Made more than 200 charts in about a year (almost one new chart every working day);
- Managed to detect a sizeable jump in our pageview to app pageview conversion after A/B testing, thanks to Amplitude;
- I constantly get reassurance that we're moving in the right direction, or, I get quickly back on the track seeing declines;

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is one of the biggest product analytics tools out there, so there's a lot of help you can get from the community. Amplitude email support is reasonably helpful and available. I like that I can go to my founder friends and ask them questions, and that most of my founder friends use Amplitude. However, the support material online is quite limited.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the most user friendly. Feels obvious that it was build 10 years ago. There are a lot of basic functionalities that aren't supported that I feel like is important for a tool like this. For example, you cannot edit a user cohort after it is created, which makes very little sense to me. This is a basic feature that should be available by default. Having to manually create a new cohort every time you want to add a new user is extremely frustrating, time consuming, and feels unnecessary. The documentation online is pretty limited. It would be great if there was a more up to date hub of all information and docs. I also wish UTM and referrers were available by default.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using amplitude for product analytics. It is better than google analytics. We use it for things like tracking active users, user retention, user engagement, time on app, cohort analysis, and more. We are able to understand users better than we did when we were using google analytics or similar software. We are also able to do better user lookup and user tracking, as well as cohort analysis.

Anyone can use it and its super predictable. Has completely replaced the need for a reporting function to be present.

What do you like best about the product?
- User level event tracking: you can enter to a user and see all the events they are doing with all details (good for QA events)
- Start free with a good amount of monthly events
- Event segmentation: Fast way to get meaningful charts and answer your product questions
- Conversion funnels: Understand how your users convert, see your conversion over time
- Pathfinder: Understand which events triggers other events
- Retention: understand how cohorts are retained through time
What do you dislike about the product?
Event Quota pricing: Once you are onboard for some time with the tool (you start free) may get expensive. Your product grows and your event tracking does as well.
- There should be a feature to sample de events so that you save "events" for all plans. Seems that there is a new feature called "Scale" but only available for certain customers with high volume.
- There should be an AB TESTING significance test for "difference between means". Currently there is only for proportions (conversion)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Find technical issues in your app. (e.g We found that our Gmail social login was failing in the first attempt and users had to do it twice, many dropped there).
- Understand how users behave (Which features they use and with what intensity)
-- We realized some features where not so valuable and found others that where. We play with the visibility of the features to get more adoption
- What events drive your retention
- Find where users are dropping in your onboarding funnel.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Like with every analytics tool do an analysis of what events to track before implementing

What do you like best about the product?
Funnels, events timeline, conversions along time
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very clear how the “group by” works when creating a chart in the part of the segment and in the part of the events. Both apply, but not very intuitive, seems like duplication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Following clients behaviour in out app. I do not need to have a secondary tracking system or ask developers, I can check it myself
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have a proper event collection system, then Amplitude will do the rest

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, I could spend all day slicing and dicing the data with Amplitude. I have used similar products but Amplitude made it so easy to identify the gaps and flaws in our user journey and understanding how each roll-out affects the product metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for certain features is steep as they are made for certain use cases only. Some of my teammates who are new to product analytics tools may have a hard time understanding the navigation and meanings behind those metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measurement of feature impact and understanding the differences between different cohorts. It's so easy to break the users into different cohorts and compare the differences.

Funnel is my favorite feature and since we started using Amplitude, we have gained a huge amount of insights on where our users dropped off and how different marketing channels behave.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to implement, build funnels, check the funnel by customer segments - look at data over a timeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had to struggle to identify what to track and what event to instrument. A custom guide on what to track and how to identify right events was a journey.

In addition - retention analysis for the current month was often incomplete.

The feasibility to experiment and track experiment was not clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a customer product organization, we are trying to understand our customer funnel, their engagement behavior what are the right nudges that can divert customers on the right path, and what is the right time for that nudge.
