Powerful insights, yet easy to setup and use.
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the UI. For an in-depth analytical tool, it is still easy to navigate and the visualization of analysis and dashboards is pleasant to the eye.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike about it. It might be even better if Amplitude was able to track attribution channels directly but we managed to do this by using an additional tool that implements well with Amplitude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Amplitude to visualize and analyze all user behaviors within our mobile app.
The main benefit is the ability to "live view" our user behaviors responding to features change in real time.

What do you like best about the product?
The diversity of charts supplies different types of analysis and helps a lot in generating insights for projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a while to understand how to use the interface. However, when I learned, I realized that it was much easier than I thought.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps me identify product opportunities and find patterns to be qualitatively then deepened in user researches.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand the purpose of each chart well. That way you'll find the best way to analyze your data.
I thing is a great tool to explore the results but it's reduced to only 1 campaign at the time.
What do you like best about the product?
Get the results very quick for a campaign that has recently closed his time cicle (validity)
What do you dislike about the product?
See the results one by one campaigns, I need to do the monthly closing and do it one by one takes too much time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The data base administration fo the launching of campaigns.
Great improvements and easy to learn for UX professionals
What do you like best about the product?
As a user researcher, the Events Explorer has been essential to help me understand what is being tracked and which events and attributes to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of how our events are instrumented it makes it nearly impossible to make use of features like User Paths and User Streams. The Events Explorer also only works with the Segment plug-in that's in Chrome which is annoying that I can't use it in Firefox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude to understand the product analytics of our platform's marketplace. It's taken some time to learn how to use Amplitude, but it's overall a great supplement to qualitative UX research by being able to track what users actually do on our platform.
Amplitude Experience

The flexibility to visualize data and get automatically curated user paths and journeys
What do you dislike about the product?
I am still figuring out how to create a simple table in amplitude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Determine user signups, drop out, retention and user journeys.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
More training videos and sessions to create charts, tables and be able to visualize data
Powerful & Easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it is very fast, I can put up charts quickly, and they build almost immediately! It is very flexible and lets me look at various cuts. There are times when I have created dashboards in a few seconds in a live meeting with my manager during a discussion, and we were able to close the discussion and have decisions that are data-backed and ready to go. The best part about it is the AB experiments which save a lot of time and help me make the best decision. The ability to create Retention charts that are unbounded and n-day is super helpful. The funnel conversion charts are also very helpful in helping conclude A/B experiments with confidence.
Amplitude provides me with an easy way to analyze the data that our platform generates daily in a meaningful way. I would say that it is great for small and medium businesses, and at the same time, it has powerful features to meet the demands of a large company with a team of data analysts that need to run business reviews and find insights. The ability to customize the tool as per our needs and demands is something I appreciate about Amplitude; features like Custom metrics, and ability to push data into customer.io, and Intercom comes in handy for us since we can have a single source of truth for all our metrics and not have to jump between tools to look at different metrics related to the same product.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are some minor things which can be improved, like excluding an event, etc. There are times when some filters vanish, like Historical count, and then you need to recreate the chart from scratch to get that filter. It would be great to have a no-code way of getting events into the platform. Currently, I need to talk to Engineering and get the metrics implemented. Another thing that can be improved is being able to track revenue retention metrics like NRR, GRR, etc., and we have to run a query on a separate tool to be able to track that.
It would be great to see the event budget more clearly, and proactively get alerts about a sudden increase in consumption that can help us manage the number of events that are being fired per day and weed out the events that we don't need or are of a lower priority so that we switch them off.

Running A/B experiments is super-easy, with both statistical significance and %lift in Funnel conversion on the same screen, and saves a lot of time and effort. I also use it to track the metrics that impact my business health and product health and then, in turn, investigate any drop or drastic change in metrics and funnel evaluation. Being able to view historical trends by weekly and monthly trends can help us understand precisely when metrics started to drop, and then we can go back and check what the changes that were shipped during those times or any macro-level change that might have happened during that time are, and accordingly create an action plan to combat that drop in metrics, and use those learnings to course correct our long-term Product roadmap.
Amplitude can help you answer questions like, "Who are my best customers?", "what are my most powerful features that customers are getting retained by?", and accordingly, what should I be doing next? Amplitude can help you find the answer to any question regarding your product that you might have and help build a data-driven culture since getting access to data is much easier. A Product manager or Marketing manager who otherwise wouldn't have been able to write a query to access that data can now get all their answers with the help of Amplitude in a much easier and don't have to wait for a data analyst or scientist to help them get that data point or insight.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is slightly on the expensive side. There are cheaper tools in the market. Also, it is an even based platform, which means your user properties are not constant but vary as the event goes
Product Analytics made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to use, anyone from any background can get onboarded ASAP. Don't even need any prior SQL experience to use amplitude. Can create a wide variety of graphs in a jiffy with only a few clicks. Extremely quick too in terms of refreshing charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The current graphs have limitations in terms of modifications. For example, can only create very few variations of line/bars in event segmentation. Conversion over time only gives bar view and no trend of time taken to convert.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking product funnels and key points of dropoffs. Easy to group data by various segments and this helps in identifying and attributing issues quickly.
Amplitude Review
What do you like best about the product?
The variety of charts and the ability to create cohorts
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a lot of flexibility to combine old and new events seamlessly (you can only create a new event to combine 2 events with Custom events).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding users' journeys
Helpful for app analytics
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to learn how to use the interface since there are a limited amount of report types. The company is quick to respond and make updates based on customer feedback - I see this product only getting better over time. Customer service is fantastic and helpful. Getting basic numbers such as how many people are doing x and how often is relatively straightforward, as well as building a funnel. I particularly like the "Group by" view in a Segmentation report, where you can breakdown an event by a property and see the percent which fall into each property value, such as as app installed broken down by country. These basic views are easy enough for the non techinical user to figure out, but there are more advanced ways to look at the reporting, such as with formulas, which can be really helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my opinion, there is a lot of room for improvement. I like to check data 2 ways to ensure it is telling me what I think it is telling me. I feel Amplitude is a bit rigid where there is really only one way to look at a report. For example, comparing funnels and pathing often don't align - I understand they are not the same, but I get really surprising/confusing results sometimes. It also does not do well mixing client-side and server-side events, breaking them into separate user streams altogether. I'm not too fond of the breakdown tables in the charts, which display dates horizontally rather than vertically, and this is how the exports look as well. Funnels don't show the percentages unless you hover over each bar, and it doesn't even show you the numbers per bar when you add the funnel to a dashboard. Lastly, because of the many display limitations I run into, I wish there was an Excel plugin to lay out the desired data and refresh it or make minor changes as needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We frequently look at how many users are impacted by a particular issue, which is sometimes hard to measure and understand. This goes back to my note about funnels and pathing reports often not aligning. We also like to look at our key funnels and measure the changes over time, whether through the conversion over time view or a date comparison, and it's also easy to create multiple segments to compare to one another side by side. Additionally, it's generally helpful for monitoring trends, and anomaly reporting, as well as report monitors (alerts), are very helpful. The anomaly alerts have an option to run a "root cause analysis" which can be great for identifying what is causing the increase or decline. In summary, we frequently use it for understanding our funnels, monitoring trends, and digging into when trends/numbers suddenly change. We would not have any clear insight into this without Amplitude.
