  • August 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It builds best practices into the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really can't think of anything at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to validate Product opportunities during planning, target users for emails based on behavioral data for user interviews, monitor certain funnels to find bugs in the product, measure adoption/retention of features, and generally understand the characteristics of our users.

Simple but a powerful tool

  • August 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is simple and easy to learn. There are a lot of video tutorials to learn from. You can collaborate with your teammates easily and share your charts within your team/organisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get slow sometimes and the charts have to be reloaded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitutre analytics for different things like for CLTV, for analysing the prices and etc

Amplitude is must have for mobile analytics)

  • August 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Clear UI and a lot of chart types/filters/properties/integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too expensive paid plan, really need to give more flexible prices (especially for small startups).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I look into behavioral analytics, what app users do, and track all crucial app metrics.

Incredible data analysis tool

  • August 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Allows you to cut through a high volume data with just a few clicks. The types of analyses available and visualization options are very comprehensive. Amplitude saves so much time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more intricate analysis still requires SQL. For example, I can't easily join on properties.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude to determine how users currently behave, identify opportunities, then run tests and evaluate the results.
The visualization tools, like Paths, allow us to determine whether the users are engaging on the right things. Amplitude allows us to easily view events or data with different segments graphed alongside one another for easy comparison.

Data Product Manager's review of amplitude.

  • August 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We like Amplitude because it is very comprehensive and allows handling many usecases; it looks like it was built based on feedback and customer requests as it answers daily issues. We love the monitoring emails, which allow us to be updated on any irregularities and problems in the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is high, especially for event amounts. Since organizations are becoming more and more data-oriented we aspire to save as much info as possible, and Amplitude forces us to be selective with the events we define because otherwise, we would have to pay for a big load of events.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting events from our UI for our Products to store in our Data Warehouse. Basic or ad-hoc analysis by Product Managers and UX Designers. QA and testing of events being developed.

Digital product intelligence, democratized

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude, as a company, has a strong mission and consistently releases features/products that support that mission. Though I like what I have seen with the release of their Experiment and Recommend products, our organization has not yet adopted those products - so, I will only speak to their Analytics product.

Our org has adopted Amplitude Analytics as a trusted source for product insights, behavioral analysis, and metric tracking across a significant portion of our digital products. I consistently hear about how user-friendly the tool is. The ability to "read" chart queries like a sentence is fantastic. This builds trust in analyses, and allows novice users to arrive at valuable insights much more quickly. We also love how easy it is to organize and share content in Amplitude. The tool excels when it comes to "playing" with your data, and using others' charts as templates (or jumping-off points). Additionally, Amplitude's many features help users ask the right questions, and perform the right analyses to end up with actionable insights. All this adds up to one word in my mind: democratization. With some basic instruction, individuals of any role can understand how to use this tool to better understand their product and their users.

Beyond the tool itself, Amplitude also provides excellent customer support and a driven, experienced customer success program. Every Amplitude employee I've spoken to genuinely believes in their product, which I find very telling.
What do you dislike about the product?
The challenges we have with Amplitude are mostly due to the nature of our business. We have hundreds of products/platforms, and we're collecting data from many sources. It doesn't seem like Amplitude was necessarily built with this type of enterprise in mind. They have done a great job adjusting to our needs, though - did I mention how great their customer success team is?

To elaborate - our challenges have come from having piles of messy data and users being unclear on which events/properties to select for a given query. User-friendliness can be a double-edged sword if someone is selecting the wrong data. However, with the improvements in their "Govern" feature and with the recent acquisition of Iteratively, it seems like Amplitude is making improvements in this area. Excited to see what they come out with next!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generally, we are using Amplitude Analytics to better understand the end-to-end journey of our users. As mentioned, we are utilizing the tool for many of our products, so we have many use cases. They include:

-Team/exec metric tracking
-Tracking account-level metrics like usage/consumption
-Tracking user-level behavior (identifying user drop-offs via funnel analysis, measuring retention and churn, etc.)
-Creating segments of users (which can then be synced to downstream tools)
-Visualizing/linking data from many sources
-Automatically notifying relevant individuals when there are data spikes/drops
-Troubleshooting data issues

We've seen many benefits from using Amplitude - generally, it has allowed our product teams to arrive at product insights more quickly. An example of a success story comes from one of our product teams, who (through a funnel analysis drop-off) identified a pain point for our users. The team implemented a new feature to help users through this step and saw a 25% increase in conversion rates.

I love it is so easy to track the users conversion on Amplitude

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Track in real time what is happening with users
What do you dislike about the product?
It is kind of hard to search for an event. The easiest it to track it by doing the flow on the app, but would be nice to be able to search for something on the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversion related problems. Issues on what we are showing/not showing to users

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to create custom reports and easily understand how users use your products.
What do you dislike about the product?
The gap between the free and the paid version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understand how users use your products. Better prioritize the roadmap.

Excellent analytics but with major taxonomy pains

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
All analytics is quite easy to use and you can really analyse a lot of different things - generally you are only limited by your event structure
What do you dislike about the product?
The only way to get anything out of Amplitude is by having a good event structure and that depends hugely on developers - which is a massive blocker
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding how users interact with product recommendations - it was an easy way to get visibility quickly
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Amplitude is a tool to analyse your product - if you don't have clear goals or skills to actually carry this out, you will be wasting your time

    Computer Software

Great Analytics. Smooth Integration.

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of integration is the best part. A basic javascript SDK with as minimal as 1 line of code added to start capturing data. Along with that, it also provides functionalities for customized capturing of events through their HTTP API.
What do you dislike about the product?
Charts are limited to showing only 10 events. But this limit is understood to maintain a clean uncluttered UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem this has solved is providing us with a view of how users are interacting with our website and identify scopes of improvement and accordingly identify what's working what's not.
