    Marketing and Advertising

Great for some things, difficult for others

What do you like best about the product?
I use the funnel chart a lot as a marketer. It is super helpful to quickly track opens & clicks on various types of campaigns and be able to see which exact users clicked or open so I can dig a little deeper into their experience. Also helpful that this is happening in real time with my campaign sends.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very difficult to use other types of graphs. I found it almost impossible to figure out churn, i.e. how long was a customer active on our product before cancelling. I'm not sure if this is how our data is structured or the charts, but either way this is not easy to get at. There are lots of other things that just aren't intuitive in the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving revenue and engagement with marketing channels. Have been able to optimize messaging and other tests to improve overall performance. Am able to quickly look at data and decide if we need to quickly pivot.

Amplitude saves tons of time to generate meaningful insights

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes it super simple to generate meaningful charts and derive insights from our data. As an engineer, I could spend dozens of minutes writing SQL to achieve the same thing in Amplitude in seconds. It also makes it very quick to share these insights with anyone on my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is if any of the data you need is mislabeled or not in Amplitude, it's quite a bit of work to import it. Admittedly I haven't worked with all the tools they've built to make this more straightforward, but I also know they constantly improve this experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring usage, funnels, and drop off in our user-facing website.

Not quite Adobe or 360, but getting there

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to create dashboards and show the numbers as tables instead of charts, and also the ability to combine tables from across instances. When I used to work with Adobe Analytics, one of my wishlist items was the ability to create a master dashboard with different properties to showcase the different brands (for example, showing both reebok and adidas charts on the same dash, etc)
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more drag and drop features like Adobe analytics. I also wish it were easier to browse segments. I don't love the configurator panel with the segments on the right and events/metrics on the left, but it is powerful and I can appreciate it for what it is. I wish you could build out reports within dashboards instead of going into and saving individual reports each time. I prefer Amplitude to any other behavioral analytics tool I've used before (Heap, etc) though. Happy to do a follow up on any of this-- I used to consult on analytics tools with a startup called Clearhead. Thanks for asking!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm fairly new to this company, but Amplitude is great for looking at user behavior funnels, what products we're renting, and OKRs like AOV/UPT/etc. Basic product questions to inform roadmap and merchandising questions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your traffic levels require GA360 or AA, I'd consider Amplitude. If not, you're fine with GA free, as the tools are comparable with their features and quality but GA is free.

What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive and user friendly, easy to see event volume and do funnel analysis. User look up and user path features are also very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
When downloading user data from a funnel, you can only download user properties and not the event or event properties to further analyze.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building funnels for all our features, the solution is very fast and easy to learn. Barrier to usage are few and easily overcome.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Amazing tool, makes analytics very easy. Godsend for product managers like me, saves a lot of time that would otherwise go into querying

Fast and flexible analytics for everyone on the team

What do you like best about the product?
1. Amplitude is easy to learn. You need ~1 day of plug and playing with it on real tasks to get acquainted with the most needed functionality. It is easy not only for the product/analytics team but for marketing/content guys too.

2. It has reach functionality. Almost all of our analytics tasks were easy to complete with the help of Amplitude. No need to write separate queries and ask for help from analysts. One of the best things is that you can segment your users however you like to compare the metrics of different cohorts.

3. It is fast. I have never had the irritation of something not being loaded.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not convenient to work with the charts from the dashboards. Every time you want to change the view of a chart, you have to open this chart separately, change its view and then save it to the dashboard. It would be much more convenient if there were a possibility to change the views directly from the dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Monitoring metrics

Amplitude really make my work easier!

What do you like best about the product?
It contains almost everything I need for basic analytics. I do not need to write a query again, and just with simple clicks, I could find out the result! Besides that, it also has a lot of built-in functions for users to use, which could give the users a lot of benefits.

In a simple word, Amplitude just helped me solve many questions that might be very hard to query in the past. So I highly recommend using it!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes complex analysis/calculation could not be realized in Amplitude easily. For example, I want to check the user status, which allows me to see their first login status. With Amplitude, I could not find a proper function or proper way to make it happen, so I had to come back to SQL/Snowflake again to get what I needed.

Besides that, I believe Amplitude could also set more easy to use built-in functions such that in the future we could finish more tasks within clicks:p

Sometimes the server works not very well, will cause some issues such as slow opening or so. If this one will be improved in the future, that gonna be much better!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Create user status dashboards for the games. With simple clicks, I could create a chart to present the user status and our KPIs. And Amplitude also has an attractive feature that combines all the charts in a very nice-looking dashboard, allowing other people to check the dashboard quickly.

In a word, Amplitude makes my work more accessible and lets other people check what I've done clearly!

Take a try, and it may bring you something different:)

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude Analytics has really helped us better understand our site performance and visitor behavior in a very digestible way.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish some of the filters were more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us evaluate our site performance and whether there are opportunities to increase metrics like click-through-rate, add-to-bag, etc. We are able to track results in realtime and react quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Exceptionally easy to build dashboards, charts, funnels and manipulate data to look at KPIs or do any feature/release debugging.
It truly helps democratize data for quick decision-making.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some operational short comings such as, annoying data latency can cause alerts to misfire. This has caused me a few heart attacks thinking that our site was down. Not being able to edit & save a chart someone else created in a dashboard can also be pretty annoying. Lastly, has Amplitue been super slow lately or is it just me?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude for high-level KPI directionality, experimentation measurement, and debugging. The biggest benefit is data democratization and being able to access any charts/events for whatever you need.

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is a great data visualization too, it allows you to compile reports and dashboards, and see the performance of your platform in real-time with the metrics you care about. The different types of graphs and timeline increments helps you to make the most of your data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The latency of this platform is poor, the large amounts of data and computation results in extremely slow loading times. The notebook feature also lacks the versatility of the dashboard feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude to track live performance of products and experiments launched. It helps to understand funnel progression and conversion rates, amongst many other metrics. One of it's key benefits is being able to share data with my team using visualization that everyone is able to interpret easily.

Amplitude makes product analytics easy for PMs

What do you like best about the product?
It makes both high-level KPI / product usage tracking easy. I can see all the metrics I care about in one place and build out complicated funnels or segmentation reports to understand where things are breaking down.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance of the dashboards can be slow - sometimes charts don't respond to clicks, or charts get frozen when trying to move them around. There are also cases where some visualization options like "show metrics" break (I can see the funnel, but I can't see the overall conversion rate). It is also fairly common to see "Heads up. We are currently experiencing degraded performance in web reporting."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude to power most of our weekly performance and engagement tracking, as well as to understand performance across key funnels. It also powers many of our diagnostic processes and deep dives if we see a drop off in usage across one of our features.
