Amazing software for Product Leaders

  • November 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- User experience: Easy to use, good interface.

NEW

- I really apreciated the feature to mix tables with different data calculation. It's helping me a lot!

OLD FEATURES

- Segmentation: Possibility to track % of users
- Funnel Analysis: Track conversions and drops.
- Cohorts: Understand how a particular segment is performing.
- Retention: Track how your product is retaining users
What do you dislike about the product?
- It would be nice to mix data from other sources (ex. csv) into a single amplitude table. I sometimes need to mix data from the product with offline data, and today I have to do it at excel/sheets.

- The engagement measurement views are complicated. Don't know exactly how to solve, but I think would be nice to see in a single view the percentage of new users that are returning, and for how long they return. In my case that need to understand the engagement through 24months (avg of real estate contract duration) is difficult to undersand.

- The concept of session of amplitude does not work very well in my product. I think that is quite different from the market standarts (ex google analytics). I also would like to be able set the avg time of a session in different journeys.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Track AB tests at interface.
- Track bugs/errors
- Understand drop reasons
- Understand quantity of users.

Amplitude help us to understand data in real time, decreasing the time until resolution/action for product teams. It's the better tool for ir.

My take on Amplitude

  • November 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy Amplitude's accessibility, UI, and flexibility within our unique data stories. The software ignites new challenges and questions within our data that I love to solve every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation within the software is, for the most part, helpful. However, some of the documentation related to time constraints is somewhat confusing, and it is difficult to see how it alters my data. I wish that Amplitude provided more concrete examples of different charts and how they are affected by these time windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving problems related to user churn, consistent user activity within our in-house applications, and how new products affect our current residential user population. I have realized how quickly Amplitude can organize and visualize these asks, making my job as a data scientist easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend knowing what your use cases are before you use Amplitude. I also suggest reading the documentation as you solve your first analytics questions.

Awesome experience for someone with little experience in data analysis

  • November 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a very easy to use software, for someone like me that have just entered the world of data I would say that this is the best tool to iniciate in this carrer path.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some very specific data that is easy to find using sql but impossible using amplitude. To do a complete analysis I end up using amplitude alongside others tools to query the data that I can't find on Amplitude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helped me to analyze a cohort of users, analyzing their behavior before and after a specific event. It's very easy to do this kind of complex analysis on Amplitude, what is very good, and even easier to share it with my colleagues.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is effortless to create dashboards, a very user-friendly tool with many variants selections; you can use it for marketing analytics by bringing all the data together
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes so long to get to the dashboard via using the tool, so it should be faster. Slowly working is really annoying sometimes. If it could be faster, it would be better.
one more thing, opening a new type of dashboard, if I want to change the type, ı had to make it separately, so it takes sometimes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating useful dashboards for product and marketing teams; it is beneficial to see all the data together. What is more, we started to use it for conversion optimization

Amplitude is a great product analytics tool that allows you to look at data in a number of ways

I like the funnel analysis the best as my role requires us to drill into different user journeys to optimize kpis
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to track marketing/paid media channels is not as straightforward or intuitive as other tools like google analytics, especially app driven media

Excellent to understand user behavior

  • November 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The customization and level of details that the tool allows me to go into. I like the fact that you can pinpoint and analyse very specific cluster of users, all while being very intuitive to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the loading times that sometimes I see when Amplitude is fetching the data, however I'm sure it's the necessary time needed to connect and do the data retrieval.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm removing the blindness that all Product managers have with their users. I'm able to track very quickly the major Ecommerce KPIs and seeing this quickly allows me to take actions very easily if needed.

On daily basis check financial and behavioral data for B2C services

  • November 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude helps us get the context of financial and behavioral data, serves as an excellent aggregator of insights how users really interact with our services with the help of Pathfinder. Amplitude ideally congregates the data from different sources, centralizing the study and observation work in one service.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is rather high, limits are achieved too fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The behavior of different segments of users in service.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try reaching Sales Team, they do great job at demo and introductory stages to show that your business might benefit with the help of Amplitude

Great Tool for Product Analytics

  • November 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about amplitude is that it is easy to generate insights into how people use your product. Especially there is a variety of sharing options (notebooks, workspaces, link shares) that make it easy to make your findings visible to your team members.
When navigating within a dashboard, all steps are well explained, which also helps people to derive the right insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
The predefined dashboards sometimes lack some flexibility.
e.g., I would like to include/exclude users that did or did not do certain activities within their first x sessions.

Sometimes there are workarounds, and I guess you could solve that by working with the raw data. (which is a paid feature as far as I know).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily we analyze how our customers adopt newly implemented features and how well their retention is regarding the usage of that feature.

We could often identify bottlenecks that inhibited customers from using a specific feature again, and our product team improved upon that information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As with all setups, calculate some proper amount of time for implementation until you receive meaningful data.
Amplitude does help with the setup by challenging your taxonomy if needed, and you should make use of it.

Fast and user friendly

  • November 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Google Analytics and Data Studio for years and just recently moved to Amplitude and I must say, I'm really digging their approach. The UX is intuitive and it feels right, actions load fast, and the concept of notebooks is just nice. It's not perfect but as Product Designer the whole experience makes my time more valuble.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss features like being able to create my own dashboard from scratch like I would do in Google Data Studio but, a part from that I noticed some buggy things when trying to add reports to a notebook but then, I was using a beta feature so I guess it is to be expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as a centralized source of truth for all our quantitative data. When it comes to making design decisions, being data informed is crucial and Amplitude makes it really easy to populate the right data in just a few clicks. You only need to know the id of the event and the properties you want to check.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you come from other analytic software Amplitude will feel intuitive and responsive. For those who are new to this sort of application it might take a while but their step-by-step UX makes, IMO very easy to get started.

That said, I would recommend you checking other options too, each product has it's specific set of features that makes it more valuable to some more than others. I'm still a big fan of Google Data Studio but the loading times makes it less than ideal and for now Amplitude has been a refreshing change.
