The most advanced analytics tool I have ever used
What do you like best about the product?
Advanced analysis of user behavior, cohorts, user properties, and events. Great UX in building funnels and segmentations. Dashboards and spaces are really helpful then you work with a lot of teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sampling is an issue. Sometimes it is almost impossible to track specific user's data because of the sampling. Official app absence is also not very good. I understand that it is difficult to put all the features in the app, but I think it could be used at least for data monitoring. App could also help with notifications if something unusual is happening.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Product manager, I try to find causal relationships and hypothesize what can be improved. Then I run tests on some segments to assess the effect of the changes. Amplitude Analytics's help is massive. I can't imagine using other mobile analytics services, to be honest.
Finally user friendly and fast insights into user behaviours
What do you like best about the product?
Super fast, intuitive, great documentation, very good support
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Just make sure to read the integration recommendations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finally got a comprehensive view of all the funnels and their conversion drivers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Avoid instrumenting dozens of events from the start. Start small with a few key events. Then test, learn and iterate. You will be surprised how much insight you gain from a few key events.
Great user behaviour tracking analytics tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to track how users use the product. You can even click into frequent paths used by users to diagnose issues or pin down areas of improvement.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't track EVERYTHING you want at once with Amplitude. You need to select certain metrics you want to track and have an idea of user flows to build up tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking user behaviour to understand pain points in the product.
Easy to use, hard to master
What do you like best about the product?
The speed of and flexibility of aggregating all events. That combined with the overview i get from all dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
As amplitude grows it can be hard to understand all the new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstly, getting an understanding of our site/app health. Are all our products performing as expected? But also user behaviour, what paths are users taking
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use generic events with properties for better understanding of user behavior
Great for high-level metrics monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Its flexibility in forming reports and dashboards. Its support for notebooks/drafts. Integration with gsheet add-ons is also helpful in some cases
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to upgrade plans for applying queries. The gsheet add-ons can be much more refined with multiple workflows
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick monitoring tools, funnel-based insights to track if there's anything fishy happened in the product
One-and-a-half-year Experience Using Amplitude
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive UI on making SQL-like queries to database and creating charts by clicking buttons to select event and user conditions.
Able to view users' data stream and user properties in User & Account Lookup. Able to look up users from charts or by users' properties.
Able to use interactive charts on notebooks when presenting data-driven storytelling to colleagues.
Able to access different versions of the same charts by URLs.
Many choices of types of charts. However, the most commonly used are Event Segmentation and Funnel Analysis. I sometimes use Retention, Impact Analysis, Pathfinder, Engagement Matrix as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
At times, loading time takes unacceptably long, especially if the dashboard or notebook contains many charts. The longest time it takes is more than 10 minutes each time to refresh a notebook or make an edit on it.
Sometimes, it reverts back one or two steps after the chart finishes refreshing after an edit is done.
There is a low limit on the number of formulas used in one chart.
There are also limitations on the number of events and user cohorts in a chart.
Unable to show more than one type of event condition breakdown in Pathfinder.
Unable to specify the order of events when creating cohorts.
Response time is not instantaneous for every click or edit on charts, notebooks, dashboards, and UI. It may take 2-3 seconds the fastest.
Loading time when opening a chart/notebook/dashboard/page in Amplitude can be improved.
Compass and Persona fail to bring me any conclusive or meaningful insights. It can probably be due to the nature, actual values, and schema of data I have been working on, or that there is no matching choice of machine learning models/pipelines available for use.
I don't find any situation I can make use of User Session charts due to the fact that there is nothing much I can customize or modify from the given options.
A sudden change and replacement of color scheme of data points/lines/bars/cohorts via an update in Amplitude messed up my charts as I carefully chose similar or different color based on data (e.g. different shades of blue represent variations of similar cohorts/events) and had been maintaining consistent color choice throughout all the charts.
We should be able to add event conditions when we are filtering events in a user's event stream in User & Account Lookup.

Great product!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn and implement for solving every day problems
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes buggy, but overall a really great tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optimizing winning variants in continuous tests. Benefits are higher conversion rates after optimizing those variants.
Great support, new features added frequently
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Amplitude frequently adds new features to the platform, and they seem to really listen to their users when making changes. Customer support is helpful and quick to respond to questions with thoughtful, detailed investigations and information. There are a lot of great features that make my job easier. One of my favorites is the anomaly detector with root cause analysis. That's helped me several times to notice an issue with our platform or our data and to isolate the cause quickly. The Cohorts feature is also very powerful, as is Annotations. In general, it feels like they really designed the platform with end-users in mind.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flip side of frequently launching new features is that a few times, features weren't 100% ready for prime time when released, and we ran into pretty significant bugs. Their support team was quick to respond with workarounds and kept us updated as they rolled out fixes, so in the end it worked out, but it would be better if features that haven't been road-tested were more clearly marked as still being in beta until the kinks are worked out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us marry up data across web and our mobile apps to give us a fuller picture of our platform. It enables us to better understand how our community interacts with our platform and identify areas where we can improve our features, or areas where we should invest in further user research.
Very complete analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the amplitude helper where I can see all the parameters available in order to create any graph or funnel analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the notebooks and combined dashboards are not so customizable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving most of the tracking problems of my company. Being able to see such funnel analysis or segmentation a provides a huge advantage.
Most Important Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude Analytics is our most important tool when it comes to understanding user behavior. It offers many easy-to-use tools from cohorts to funnels in order to deep dive into how our users use our apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features in some charts that are not accessible in other charts. There's usually a way to get the data we need, but sometimes it means getting creative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One focus has been to improve the loading experience whenever possible. However, one surprising discovery is that users don't necessarily perform better.
