Druva inSync - End Point Protection - Set and Forget
What do you like best about the product?
Once installed, Druva inSync backs up our user data without user intervention. Set and forget! It's there when you need it. Users never know it's running. The web management portal is easy to administer. Tech support is VERY helpful. They often remote control and fix the issue within a few minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
We recently moved to the cloud platform. We like it even better than the on-premise version. Only one login to the web admin portal. The cloud platform is more expensive than on-premise. Now our users don't have to use our corporate VPN when working remotely to ensure they are backed up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our laptop users can save anything to their desktops/my documents/etc. and we know that it will be backed up. When the laptop is left on a plane or has coffee spilled on it, we have the data. We can easily log the user into a new laptop, log in to inSync and download their data. Done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Druva inSync is great at backing up user data. We've migrated to the cloud to make it easier on our traveling users to backup their data without having to use VPN. We've never had issues with obtaining the data when needed.
Simple and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple and easy to use, and effective
What do you dislike about the product?
We have yet to find a down side, easy to use and reliable
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an active remote workforce, and Druva keeps them backed up - lost laptops means down time, now we can have them back up and running overnight
Druva just works
What do you like best about the product?
We have restored everything from entire servers to a single file and it just works
What do you dislike about the product?
We really don't have any issues with it. You obviously need to have a large internet pipe to upload all your files at the start in a timely fashion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't need a dedicated "backup engineer" nor backup tapes and hardware or off-site storage.
Druva is great
What do you like best about the product?
For us, it has been a set it and forget it service
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup took some time but once complete, it has been simple to administer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online backup of our users' OneDrive data
Good product
What do you like best about the product?
Druva was much easier to work with than their competitor Code42. They have a strong product that is fairly easy to administer once it is in place. Pricing was also much better than Code42.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration is not as polished as other backup and recovery applications such as Veeam. Integration with AzureAD doesn't work very well, user management and device replacement can be a chore. I ran into multiple issues due to their knowledgebase either being out of date or confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Once Druva inSync is in place, it can be a set it and forget it application. It will run in the background and if you ever need to restore something, a backup will be available. We love the enterprise search functionality and the ability to restore from anywhere with a web browser.
Very slick
What do you like best about the product?
Druva is fairly slick, and easy to install. However that being the case there is very little to troubleshoot when something is not working right
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little detailed information about issues
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint backup
Easy and flexible backup to the cloud
What do you like best about the product?
Deployment is incredibly easy. The platform did not take long to implement at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some options need more configurability. It is in some respects oversimplified and I'd like more tunability in some aspects of the tools available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am ridding myself of the risk of "on premise" or "near premise" backups. Benefits immediately realised are super simple restoration and easy to use recovery interfaces when I needed it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is one of the easiest and most readily deployable tools on the market for this task. It is a new generation of backup tech and is "done right".
User for 3+ years
What do you like best about the product?
No longer having to use tapes or hard drives for backup and then take off-site for security purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have had some issues with file restoration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up multiple locations to a single location. Fast backup and recovery and data deduplication.
Easy to use and very effective
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very easy to use and understand. It seems to be fast and reliable, and even the most basic of users can usually figure out how to do a simple file restore. It offers many features that you didn't know you needed until you try them for the first time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when it consumes a lot of resources when running a backup. Unfortunately this can happen in the middle of the day at the worst possible times. There can also be some issues when migrating between machines, but the fact it handles this at all is impressive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Constant backups and easy restores have eliminated the worry about data loss so that we can focus more on being productive. The ability to handle machine migrations when users upgrade equipment is a huge benefit that wasn't part of the original intention.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look no further if you want a decently priced full featured cloud backup system.
Very easy to deploy and use
What do you like best about the product?
Druva is a very easy to use and deploy backup system. In its console you have every that you need to schedule and perform your backups
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have one user in one Druva tenant you can't create a user with the same email in another tenant. This is annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now we don't need to have big backup servers on premise. Every data is safe in Druva.
