  • April 28, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Druva is a straightforward, easy to use, backup system implemented on Windows and Apple computers throughout my department. Installation, preference setup, recovery, and administration are all straightforward and work as advertised. I highly recommend this product to others looking for reliable backup software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had a couple occasions where I transferred a users files and settings from one machine to a new machine, which caused Druva to think the new machine was the old. Druva support was able to get my issues resolved promptly and reliably.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This software provides reliable, offsite, cloud backup of user data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend this as a backup system.

We have 50 remote users who do their work on the road, disconnected from the network.

  • March 25, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We can dynamically change the backup settings, not only for WHAT is being backed up, but also for use of CPU, etc. Everything is automatic, even the warnings for those who have not connected to the network recently. Also, we back up to an on-premise storage so we can be sure the data is not getting away from us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some confusion over setup of backup groups
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently experimenting with using Insync share to create custom folders of data relating to employee clients which can be shared to individual employees and altered 'on the fly' as client loads shift or clients leave the service. This use will reduce PII risk and keep our employee machines clear of unneeded files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Envision uses that even Druva has not thought about.

Installation and manageability is very easy and user friendly. Mass deployment and backup status monitoring is very friendly. User can browse previous version of file from restore option which is very popular in our network. Without any interrupting user it's protecting their data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, there is nothing to dislike. All features are useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to recover files for a damaged/replaced system. User can restore their required files from inSync without any help from IT department.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great endpoint solution

  • March 25, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy for end user to restore their data. It saves the IT department one less troubleshooting ticket. From the console, the ability to update the client easily. The ability to track the last successful backup of the end-user. The support has been great help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Losing the ability to continue with the Perpetual license. Being in the education environment there's no guarantee of continuing budget and the Perpetual license was the perfect model for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
That storage is a commodity and with the deduplication helps with minimizing the amount of data that is used

inSync Review from lead engineer

  • March 22, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love inSync is able to backup our laptops very easily. It means backup operations finish in a short time because of de-duplication. And now we can backup SaaS apps like Office 365. That is great helps for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
inSync has limited reports only. Competitors like box are able to report richer. And unfortunately, on-premise servers are not especially good. Master server doesn't have redundancy, edge servers can't use load balancer like F5, and storage node might be bottle neck.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We realize inSync can prevent our shadow IT. Users need cloud storage such as dropbox. However, using dropbox might have data loss. inSync provides good shared storage solutions with data loss prevention, because inSync can wipe data remotely and prevent to open other apps on iPhone.

Set it, Deploy it, Forget it

  • March 22, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple integration into your existing single computer or entire enterprise of computers.
Fast, low impact backups and restorations.
Easy to use but powerful portal with detailed information that is easily navigated through.
The ability to have a local cloud cache or be entirely cloud based.
The ability to not have it upload on certain networks; E.G. when on cellular hotspots.
What do you dislike about the product?
No ability to view/browse files of a backup without restoring the entire backup.
Lots of false alarms about systems not backing up/being out of compliance when a computer comes back online after a while of being offline and performs it's updates/backup routine.
As an IT Support Specialist logging into machines throughout the company and having it create a user profile for me on every machine I touch and then having to remove that machine from my profile in the portal is cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to recover files from a damaged/lost system or from a previous employee whose computer has been repurposed to another user.
Having the local cache has greatly improved the speed in which we are able to backup/recover files
The built in asset management/tracking is a nice bonus, but has not yet been something we've had to actually use.
Gives an insight into users who are not on their computers much, or are not in areas with internet connectivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Regardless of whether you are a single user at home, a small business or a large corporation this software has the power and versatility the keep your data safe, and current. The on-site cloud cache is great for large businesses with lots of dating going in and coming out, but even the cloud only side of things is incredibly fast and very low impact on your system/bandwidth.
