What do you like best about the product?
Organisational Structure and Handling large volume of data.

Steep learning curve. It is prefarable to have prior training.

We are Qlik partner. The main benefit of Qlik Sense is the easy-to-use user interface that users can create their own insight by themselves.

What do you dislike about the product?
Data Load editor logic. need to have code to load data in Qlik Sense. Some functions are not very intuitive to apply. E-g: no possibility to explicitly specify the column to join 2 tables. Cannot use multiple columns as join criteria...
I believe a modern BI tool should provide the ability for users to load data without the need to write code.
There is also little flexibility needed on the QMC: e-g: allow to add a custom property to mass users...

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Qlik Sense is the active intelligence and modern visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Qlik Sense are the limitations when trying to customize certain views and/or objects. Sometimes I feel restricted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are still new to Qlik Sense, so our initial plan is to use Qlik Sense to help our users anwser specific/important business questions and/or review specific/important business issues/trends.

Qlik Sense helps us tell stories with data and provides critical insight to drive business decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need to add extensions beyond the out of box functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Updating our BI software to Qlik has allowed us to provide real time dashboards to clients. This allows for quick decison making to prevent issues.

Make wide use of it, don't stop with simple Excel translations

Qlik constantly changes its licensing policy which has a very negative impact. The insistence on talking about SaaS all the time made the event very boring. I understand that despite being a trend, some companies in Brazil will not adopt SaaS, mainly because we don't have servers here, and that puts us on the same level as our competitors who lost a lot of business because of it

I work with Qlik Sense to help public companies address their main problems related to lack of information even with a huge amount of data. The main benefit is to make the company understand the importance of making decisions based on data and information
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a market-leading product that has been a leader in the Gartner magic quadrant for over 11 consecutive years.
I enjoy the charts, but still struggling on how to connect with other apps to have real time data.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to generate different charts quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real time neither automatic updates. Manual steps are still needed to generate the graphs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of generating reports for hours and budget. The benefit is to have the charts available and the link ready to be shared with others as needed.

What do you like best about the product?
First and foremost is the security access, data volume it can handle, make end users independent to design their own dashboards and analytics. Provides a mix of both data analytics and data discovery. Slice and dice is amazing. Visualizations are fantastic and most of what can imagine are available. Also, you can pick up widgets from market place, although not advisable to manage version upgrades, are really helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot format the way you want. Simple drag and drop changes sizing, table columns widths cannot be saved during designing, filters are the power but difficult to show like qlikview wherein you can adjust fonts and show all, load times sometimes are alarming and frustrates directors, mobile app slags. And set analysis is very difficult to relate for non tech users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With QlikSense the business can consolidate information from multiple data sets and domains in a single view. Volume of data is of no concern. It has helped the business to deep dive into data and get brilliant insights which could have been hidden in standard tools. Also relation between data sets helps the business to get quickly to the issue without changing focus. For example you deep dive into stock issues and then want to quickly understand what caused the stock issue, the slice and dice is very powerful and in few clicks you can make a correlation. Presentation and story boards are powerful and complimented by nPrinting. And as i mentioned earlier for organization who wants data security enabling, the tool does a fantastic job.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For a successful use of QlikSense make the technical team responsible for designing the data and security, train end users to use the ready data set. This will help in a) managing QVD without duplication of data sets (which is a high cost) b) Ensure data integrity c) Manage automations to refresh the data sets on a timely manner d) protect and govern information. Enable end users with continuous trainings and updates. Keep the server version upto date, Qlik updates new features regularly. If possible use the security matrix from your backend ERP systems to ensure standardization of section security.
