In general, I benefit more from cost optimization, revenue increase, or, in other cases, customer satisfaction because it's better to work with this kind of streamlining that supports people during the workday.

Great automation
Enables a data-driven approach to process analysis and helps generate cost savings
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
This tool allows me to discover value before discussing technology. It's the first solution that combines business competence and capabilities with technological capabilities. With Celonis, I discuss processes and root causes, analyzing the bottleneck resource process. There is an app centered around a data-driven approach. I can create the model and, in a data-driven way, map processes using technology that supports people in investigative activities by finding root causes where processes falter. Celonis emphasizes that these goals aim to generate cost optimization.
What needs improvement?
Celonis needs to improve the feature channel. They should incorporate more generative AI elements into their solution. Today, with tools like Microsoft's Copilot, Chargebee, Gemini, or Cloudy, it is essential for the Celonis solution to have their services and solution models integrated with GenAI.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Celonis for about one year bsince my first contact with Celonis was one year ago.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
At the moment, I'd rate scalability six or seven out of ten. The list of use cases doesn't cover the entire process or the whole piece.
How are customer service and support?
I rate technical support a six out of ten. It depends on the value of the contract. If I have a large contract, Celonis supports the partner with architect solutions or other technical profiles. However, if I have a small contract for a minor client, the partner works alone.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
How was the initial setup?
At the moment, I don't have an answer since I have just started a profile value project with Celonis. In this case, this kind of phase doesn't require implementing technical elements. I have access to a preconfigured platform.
What was our ROI?
I have different kinds of savings, however, the first saving is cost optimization.
What other advice do I have?
My company is a consulting company, similar to Accenture or PWC. At the moment, I would give the solution an eight out of ten. Celonis is a good idea to change the way processes are considered in a company. It may not be perfect yet, however, it's the best way if the organization wants to approach processes with a data-driven approach.
Visual dashboards provide insights while setup demands niche expertise
What is our primary use case?
I work with Celonis at the moment, and my team is moving to S4HANA, which also somehow includes the Signavio solution. We probably use it for many tasks, such as monitoring lead times, looking for products that are available in stock earlier than predicted, checking incomplete orders, and doing some automation. For example, if a product should be there and isn't, I write back some reason codes into the system, creating some action paths as well. It's mostly for order processing.
What is most valuable?
It provides a visualization of the process itself, giving a very good synthesis of performance and helping me find improvements. For example, if the product is credited to be available two weeks from now for shipment, and Celonis scans the whole SAP and says it is available a few days earlier, then I can ship it out, making the customer happier. Or if some lead times are very slow, I can determine whether it is due to slow manufacturing, a warehouse problem, or other issues, providing very good insights into the process.
We have complex end-to-end processes, and it makes sense of them easily. I have many visual dashboards that provide insights, enabling execution steps and problem-solving.
What needs improvement?
It requires specialized expertise to set it up in the backend. I need knowledgeable data and process people who understand the tool and also my processes. Ultimately, I need niche expertise, combining strong SAP knowledge with Celonis competency. The pricing could be improved as well.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have used the solution for four to five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It's super stable. I have a few issues, yet it's very, very stable. I would rate it more than nine or ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It absolutely is scalable.
How are customer service and support?
Customer service was super helpful and super responsive during the deployment.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
How was the initial setup?
It takes just a couple of days, yet to use it well, it's important to know what I want to use it for and the best way of setting it up. Change management is hard, however, the tool is really great.
What about the implementation team?
I'm not an IT person; I'm more on the usage side. It is completely handled by our IT department. I was helped by Celonis experts when deploying the product, utilizing third-party services.
What was our ROI?
I did quite an in-depth review of the use cases I deployed and the outcomes. In my opinion, there's a positive return on investment. Each project contributes differently; some bring customer satisfaction improvements, some reduce inventory levels, and some reduce operational costs. However, it's very hard to assign just one number.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I think it's relatively expensive, but it's also good. It's a good product, albeit on the expensive side.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
At the moment, I'm working with Celonis, yet Signavio is also coming into the picture in the future, which I have no idea about yet. I want to learn more about it.
What other advice do I have?
My overall review rating is eight. I advise others to ensure they understand what the tool is capable of to maximize its potential.

Efficient processes and analysis enables discovery of optimization opportunities
What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
Celonis primarily helps with process discovery by understanding process variations and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Although it is not utilized much for continuous monitoring, it has significantly enhanced our understanding of improvement opportunities.
What is most valuable?
The most effective feature of Celonis is its capacity to analyze processes and uncover optimization opportunities through its visualizations of process variances.

What was our ROI?
The return on investment from Celonis comes from identifying opportunities for process improvement which translate into time savings and cost savings.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Pricing varies depending on client needs and deployment scale. However, I find it competitively priced and offering good value for money in high-volume data analysis scenarios.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
Powerful and intuitive tool with essential machine learning features

How are customer service and support?
I contacted Celonis for partnership purposes, not for direct customer service support regarding the tool's operations.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We use a variety of tools for process mining, including ProM, which is more powerful and academic but less user-friendly.
What was our ROI?
I cannot quantify the benefit because the actual numbers are proprietary to the customer company.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Celonis is significantly more expensive than other tools, such as ProM, which is open-source and free.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We have used ProM for process mining, which is open-source.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend Celonis. That said, it's not suitable for small or medium enterprises due to its high cost. It is best suited for large enterprises.
I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.
