Celonis is fast, flexible, and offers a very convenient CX

Setting up the data load for a non-standard process and with non-standard IT tools is quite challenging.

What do you like best about the product?
Celonis provides new forms of anaylsis to find new opportunities. We are able to utilize it to finally definitively calculate the cost of doing business and process inefficencies.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a new technology, Celonis (and process mining in general) has a steeper learning curve. In addition, the service has a few more outages or technical issues than the more mature cloud products. Lastly, the building and deployment of the technology requires specific and hard to find skill sets that may prove to be a challenge for some organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently using Celonis to find cost savings that we have overlooked with our standard processes such as underpayed invoiced and inefficient processes. We are also begining to use it to ensure that our service providers are actually meeting their stated process KPIs in their contractual SLAs.

Celonis as easy tool to visualize all our processes, no brownpaper anymore

The software helps us to get a holistic overview of all processes from different levels. E.g. we can drill down from a high-level management perspective up to very detailed accounting views

Nothing in particiular. As Celonis is quite a comprehensive tool, it takes some time until you are thoroughly familiar.

Mainly in finance

We often find that data analysts needs to make extensive changes that data engineers can do easily; but in my view there should be not such a distinction. There are business users that can create dashboards; and there are technical users that can create / adjust the underlying models

We have realized an estimated ~ 250k in benefits resulting from process optimization

Business challenge to find a super user who has both technical and process skills to utilize Celonis tool.

Great software with weaknesses in customer support and usability
What do you like best about the product?
Market leader in process mining. Great visualization of process data and integration from data extraction to process automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very strong focus on new features mostly built for marketing—almost no focus on usability for data integration and building of analysis, automation steps, and so on. Customer voice is only heard if new and fancy features are the result not if the existing features could become better.
Support in case of errors is limited and some resulutions take ages because of the aforementioned reasons.

Identification of process weaknesses and process waste. Remove "black boxes" in process analytics.
