What do you like best about the product?
GoAnywhere helped us replace antiquated processe, easy to use and had all the tools we need to be complaint will transmitting sensivite data. It was also easy to implement and the support staff was amazing.

Pricing should be based on a package for everything instead of different pricing for specific modules.

What do you like best about the product?
Simplistic of use, short learning curve, and does what it said it would do.

Support is lacking unless you pay for the programming hours.

GoAnywhere MFT is reliable when it comes to scheduling jobs with minimal monitoring. We have used other MFT in the past and we had to constantly monitor for failed jobs.
A stable product that has a simple user interface and can be automated for file transformation
What is our primary use case?
It is a file transfer solution. We have different scenarios for different sectors, like banking and financial sectors. Customers want to move from traditional SMTP servers to enterprise solutions with logs and monitoring features.
What is most valuable?
The user interface is simple. We can automate the solution. We can deploy the product in different kinds of infrastructure. We can do a lot with the product in automation. We can automate it for file transformation.
What needs improvement?
The security features must be updated regularly. The newer versions must be released sooner. The solution must add new features at least every year. The solution must provide integration with SSO.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for around three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The tool is quite stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The tool is scalable. Around 30 people are using the product in my organization.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support team provides delayed solutions.

How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is easy. The tool is very easy to deploy and use. We deploy the solution for many clients and have used many cloud providers. The time taken for deployment depends on the type of deployment.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is not cheap, but it is not expensive. The price depends on the modules. The solution is worth the money.
What other advice do I have?
My recommendation depends on the customers’ requirements and how they transfer files in their organization. Some organizations do data transfer only over email. Compared to its competitors, the tool provides good features. Overall, I rate the product an eight out of ten.

Sometimes the errors are not too easy to diagnose on an end-users side. However, the GoAnywhere support is very helpful!

We can securely schedule our file transfers and retrieve files using wildcards at specific times of the day/week.

Maintaining users and groups is ver easy and robust.

Don't really have any downsides other than allowing some firewall rules for security was a little over my head.

FTP is very useful for transferring large files between different entities.
GoAnywhere MFT is the lifeblood of our automation for our SMB
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use for automation of routines. The full feature set provided by the system is world-class, and supporting the system from an SRE perspective is a breeze. Support has always been fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features require additional licensing or infrastructure to be provisioned. Large projects can be difficult to reverse engineer without good documentation from your developers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All things data are run through MFT. Automating push/pulls of files over SFTP, running automated database queries, generating flat file exports for ingest into downstream systems, and hitting application REST URIs to kick off processes in an automated fashion.
GoAnywhere - Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
We were able to seamlessly convert from our previous SFTP product, as GoAnywhere allowed us to import all of our User ID's. It took a little while to understand how to build the automated scripts to process incoming files, but we received a fair amount of training and hands-on consulting to get us going. Now that we have all of our scripts written, our process has dramatically improved!
What do you dislike about the product?
The MFT code can be a little difficult to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The manual process we used to perform to decrypt files and move them to their proper location was painful. This has now happens instantly! It saves both time as well as lessens mistakes.
