Reliable File Transfer with Room for UI Improvement

  • December 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I mainly use GoAnywhere MFT to automate and secure file transfers, and I appreciate how it centralizes all our file exchange processes and ensures compliance with security and audit requirements. I find it reliable once everything is set up, and I don't have to worry about whether the files actually moved or if something got stuck halfway. The flexible workflows and the ease of integration with different systems, like SFTP servers, APIs, or cloud storage services, make the setup feel pretty straightforward. I also appreciate the scheduling features and how the software helps me track job statuses and get alerts in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface can feel a bit dated and sometimes it takes too many clicks to find what I need. Some of the more advanced settings also have a learning curve, so it's not always obvious how to set things up the first time. The initial setup was manageable, but not exactly 'plug and play'. Once we started configuring more complex workflows and connections, the learning curve showed up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT to automate and secure file transfers, centralizing the process, replacing manual steps, and ensuring compliance with security requirements. It solves the problem of difficult tracking and errors by centralizing transfers and ensures files are securely sent on time.

Clear Reports and Intuitive Interface Make Workflow Automation Easy

  • December 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that the reports are clear and customizable, making it easy to set up automated workflows. I especially like the ability to clone tasks, and its intuitive interface makes setup and use simple. It has been a reliable tool for managing secure transfers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there should be greater flexibility in how users are alerted before deadlines. In my experience, certain parts of the backend are a bit complex to handle, and managing version updates can sometimes be challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the main benefits is the audit log, which is a significant asset for regulatory compliance and is easy to set up with little training required. It has notably decreased the amount of time our development team needs for implementation and has made the process of creating automated scripts much more straightforward.

Automates secure file transfers and workflows while centralizing administration and integrating with multiple systems

  • November 25, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I have used GoAnywhere MFT for secure file transfer automation. The primary use for this product is scheduling automated file transfers, managing SFTP and FTPS connections, and creating workflows for system-to-system file movement, as well as secure data exchange between internal and external systems.

What is most valuable?

The most impressive feature of GoAnywhere MFT is the strong security options. It supports encryption, secure protocols, auditing, and key management. Additionally, the centralized administration is excellent, with everything managed from one dashboard. The product is also stable for large file transfers. These are the best features I have experienced over six months.

GoAnywhere MFT agent is useful for automating tasks on remote servers without exposing them publicly. This is the main agent use I am utilizing in GoAnywhere MFT.

Secure Forms features in GoAnywhere MFT allow safe data collection directly from users with automatic routing and encryption. This is the Secure Forms feature I am currently using in my project.

GoFast noticeably improves transfer speed for large files in GoAnywhere MFT by accelerating file transfers in distributed environments.

GoAnywhere MFT supports connectors for multiple systems, including SAP, database, cloud storage, and REST APIs. I am specifically using the SAP integration through SAP connectors and APIs.

What needs improvement?

One of the main important improvements I need for GoAnywhere MFT is a better real-time monitoring dashboard and an improved user interface. I think a more modern and user-friendly interface would be beneficial, as multiple competing products have modern and user-friendly interfaces. Additionally, better debugging tools and clearer error logs would be helpful.

When I started using GoAnywhere MFT, I experienced complexities for projects that required experience to create them. The error logs can be hard to understand at first sight. However, with continued use of this product, I became more familiar and comfortable with it.

I believe GoAnywhere MFT could be more stable and enterprise-friendly overall. It is a strong and reliable solution for secure file transfers and workflow automation, offering excellent security features and dependable performance. The main areas of improvement are the user interface and debugging simplicity.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for more than six months.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

GoAnywhere MFT supports active-active clustering, meaning more than one MFT instance can run in parallel. For load balancing, it can be more scalable for companies distributed across their cluster nodes, improving throughput. If one node fails, the system remains scalable. GoAnywhere MFT can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud such as AWS or Azure, or in any hybrid model. This flexibility makes it suitable for both large-scale and small-scale companies depending on the requirements of the company.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price range for GoAnywhere MFT is around four to five thousand dollars annually. Since it is a large-scale product, the price can be adjustable within this range.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have used IBM Sterling as an alternative to GoAnywhere MFT. GoAnywhere MFT is easier and more stable than IBM Sterling, and it is also more enterprise-friendly. It is less expensive than Cleo but has fewer advanced APIs. Overall, it offers better automation than many basic SFTP servers and provides a good balance of security, automation, and integration at an enterprise level.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

GoAnywhere MFT: Reliable, Secure, and Effortlessly Automated File Transfers

  • November 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
GoAnywhere’s workflow automation and security features are the best parts of the platform. The ability to create automated jobs without writing scripts saves a lot of time. Role-based access control, audit logs, and encryption options also help us maintain compliance easily. The dashboard makes monitoring and managing transfers very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the UI feels slightly slow when loading detailed logs, especially for larger workflows. Also, initial setup and configuration require some learning. Apart from that, the tool works very well for day-to-day operations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GoAnywhere helped us automate routine data transfers, reduce manual errors, and maintain secure file exchange across multiple systems. It also improved our compliance posture by giving centralized control and complete audit visibility.

Secure File Sharing Made Effortless

  • November 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find GoAnywhere MFT invaluable for securely sharing files via email, which is a critical function in my workflow. The ability to encrypt files and send them in a user-friendly manner eliminates the cumbersome necessity of using encrypted USB drives for file sharing. Among its compelling features, I particularly appreciate the non-repudiation feature that enhances the security of files shared with a registered email. This capability provides me with peace of mind, ensuring that the files are securely tracked and verified. Additionally, the integration with Outlook enhances its utility, allowing me to streamline communication and file sharing seamlessly within my existing email infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the account lockout feature without any prior warning frustrating. When an account gets locked due to incorrect password attempts on the admin console, it doesn't provide a warning indicating the number of attempts remaining before a lockout occurs. Additionally, even after the account is locked, the system does not inform me that the account has been locked out. This lack of communication can lead to confusion and delays in accessing the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find GoAnywhere MFT provides a secure, user-friendly way to encrypt and email files, eliminating the need for encrypted USB drives. The non-repudiation feature enhances secure sharing, streamlining our file sharing process.

GoAnywhere MFT replaces manual, error-prone file transfers with a secure, automated system, giving us better reliability, compliance, and faster data exchange across all workflows.

Automated features have streamlined secure file transfers and improved data submission efficiency

  • November 17, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My major use is always file transferring. We're a big IT team, so different IT people use different parts, but my major case is always file transferring. Using the automated features helps me save time.

What is most valuable?

Using the automated features helps me save time. I have tried using the connectors that go with GoAnywhere MFT for Salesforce, SharePoint Online, Dynamics 365, and others. In most cases, I use Google Cloud storage, which is the main case. Secure Forms enable end-users to fill out and submit information through a secure platform that keeps our data protected.

What needs improvement?

I have no major dislikes generally. I just had some challenges when I was starting to use it. Sometimes I could lose files and maybe lose trace of where they had been hidden, but with time, I got used to the system, and it becomes so much easier to use.

Initially, the setup was kind of hard for me. I had to take a long time to adapt to the system.

At my end, I'm okay with everything at the moment. There are no major issues. My major challenges were getting used to it, and once that happened, I have no major challenges now. Every feature is okay currently for me.

For how long have I used the solution?

I started in November and think to get used to the system took me about two and a half months, by January.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a good solution. It is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I look at scalability, and I say both are good. Stability and scalability are both good.

How are customer service and support?

I had to contact technical support once at the start when I was getting used to it. The support is good. I got feedback on time, and I was able to resolve whatever I wanted. Though I forgot what I was inquiring about, the response was good, and I resolved my issue.

If I were to put the support on a scale from one to ten, I would give them eight out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The setup was initially kind of hard for me. It took a long time to adapt to the system.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have not used any alternatives to GoAnywhere MFT. At my new job, I had nothing to deal with this previously, so I just got this as a new thing at my new workplace.

What other advice do I have?

I think about the agents, and they are not bad. I mention that I am using Secure Forms whereby I get the end-users to fill out and submit information through the online secure platform that helps us to keep our data secure with no traces and no leaks. Being online-based, it helps us save a lot of time.

I'm somewhat familiar with pricing. I just have a small clue about it since I'm mostly in the IT department, but what I know is the pricing is fair. Though it is always charged with add-ons, the more features you need, the more add-ons you get. It is fairly priced and not so expensive.

I would give this product a rating of eight out of ten.
