Stable product with good analytics features
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
The product's most important feature is unloading data to S3. It provides a single syntax query to analyze data directly from a database to an S3 bucket.
What needs improvement?
The product's performance could be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Snowflake for a couple of months. We are using the latest version.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The product is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We did not need to scale our Snowflake environment beyond what we needed. We have a fixed amount of traffic from a fixed number of clients. We know the load we need to handle, and based on that, our subscription is made.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Snowflake is cost-effective. The pricing is better than Firebolt. Firebolt is better when there is idle time. If we run Snowflake all the time, the cost will be higher.
What other advice do I have?
We are working on two solutions for Snowflake, one for the cloud and one for on-premises. It has good documentation. If someone goes through it, they will quickly understand how it works. However, Firebolt's documentation is more comprehensive. If I need faster results, I'll prefer the Firebolt; if I need performance, I'll use Snowflake.
Overall, I rate it a nine out of ten.

Snowflake Feature such as simplicity , increased performnace,high concurrency and profitability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance low when having large volumes of data in snowflake, getting warehouse timeout error while running a base more than Million plus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake Integrates with a number of big tools including business intellignece. It helps to run a Million base querys within seconds, and infrastructure kind of cool user friendly.

I've found Snowflake to be a powerful and versatile solution for connecting multiple data sources. Snowflake really shines when it comes to handling data of all shapes and sizes. Snowflake is designed to be accessible to folks from all backgrounds, whether you're a tech whiz or just dipping your toes into the data lake world. The SQL-based approach makes managing and querying data lakes a breeze. Snowflake's cloud-native setup ensures things run smoothly. So, you can count on optimal performance even when you're dealing with heavy data workloads. Queries run efficiently, and concurrency, making it relaible for ad hoc analytics and reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to get familiarized with their UI. While Snowflake is user-friendly, those new to cloud-based data lake platforms will need some time and patience to get caught up. However, Snowflake provides lots of documentation and resources help mitigate this challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a centrailized space to build a data lake. Snowflake can integrate with mulitple CRMs. It's like the social butterfly of data platforms as we are conencting Google Cloud Storage. They have lots of options for payment plans based on your data load. We are now saving money by deploying a centralized data front.
Snowflake - Best out there!
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake's architecture is build for scalability. The data sharing capabilities are exceptional; ot requires literally zero maintainince. I would rate Snowflake the best out there in terms of easy of use, support and value for money. Pretty much everything about Snowflake is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only disadvantage I can see is it being slightly expensive. If you're a very early stage organization, I wouldn;t recommend spending a lot until you have a 5-6 person data team to set up the infrastructure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Snowflake as a central place to manage, modify, combine and organize data. Snowflake acts as a central hub to pull in and push data to various tools and our CRM (Salesforce).
Great platform for data lake house
What do you like best about the product?
With a connection to fivetrsn we are able to connect independent data sets to more effectively create reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a recent change in web ui and i haven't had time to explore. I wish there was a walkthrough that noted the added features.

1) We can create multiple warehouses with different sizes and use them as per our requirment. Also the warehouse will suspend automatically when not in use. So you only pay what you use.

2) Time travel, which helps us to debug in case of any bug or issue, retrive old data
3) Fail-Safe for disaster recovery
4) Stream to track SCD change
5) Task for scheduling

Snowflake does not enforced Primary Key concept in tables. So we need to create separate process to avoid duplicate data loading.

Speed of Snow
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake really stands out when it comes to query speeds. It’s evident they built the platform prioritizing efficiency, and that's reflected in how fast and accurately we can pull data. But what I truly appreciate is their approach to data access through role functionalities. It gives us a hands-on ability to dictate data accessibility, striking a perfect balance between security and user access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Snowflake has a lot going for it, but there are areas I wish were better. The way they charge based on compute time can get expensive, especially if we're running queries non-stop. Even though it's packed with features, it can feel a bit much for those new to it. And, honestly, I wish they had their own visualization tools, so we wouldn't have to lean on other software for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake's been a game-changer for our data setup. Remember those annoying isolated data chunks we used to grapple with? Snowflake tossed those out the window, putting everything in one place. It's made getting to our data a breeze and kicked its quality up a notch too. Our team now dives straight into pulling insights rather than getting stuck joining dots. Plus, managing who sees what? A walk in the park. For me, Snowflake's taken a load of data headaches off the table, making things run smoother and helping us make better calls.
It is very fast and the performance is great but has some technical quirks

I use it for data warehousing. I just design databases, put data in there, and get data out.

Although I haven't used it much, it is very fast and the performance is great.
What needs improvement?
It has some technical quirks that whoever is using it needs to be aware of. It doesn't enforce typical relational database constraints. If you're not aware of that, you can really put some bad data in there.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using it for about three months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would give it a ten out of ten. I haven't seen it failover.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I've never had any issues with it. It is being extensively used. We have between a hundred and a thousand users using Snowflake.
How are customer service and support?
I have not had any experience with customer support, but I've heard it's good.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I've heard it's quite expensive.

I would give Snowflake a seven out of ten.
New edge tool for faster and efficient data storage
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use for new bees with the UI. It can be used for multiple usecases in small scale to big scale industries. It can widely used for data applications, data lakes, data engineering, data science, etc
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some gaps with certain functionalities like the the failure or success dataload intimation. There is an easy query for failure of data load but it cannot be customized and for the latter, you have to take a longer route.

Snowflake helps us build a comprehensive data platform where data is accessed consistently , governed, high quality and secured. It also meets our operational needs like easy documented integration with AWS.
