An absolute dream
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake expedites the process of data querying in the best possible ways. It helps us out by:
- finding compilation errors immediately
- providing great functions
- being insanely fast

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had a dark mode!
The linking process with Tableau is a little finicky, but on the whole, is a very good system. I do not have huge complaints about this product.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use snowflake for querying, insights, and sharing our findings.
Good for database management
What do you like best about the product?
We are using Snowflake for pushing data metrics and storing them in collaboration with AWS infra DB. The table organization and querying on database tables are smooth. It also captures the history of all your query and also provides an SQL auto-completion feature. It has a beautiful syntax color highlighting, which makes things readable. A new interface is now available, which offers full account search, chart visualization, SQL autocomplete, dashboards, and much more features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of right now. Snowflake works great for my team and me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using Snowflake for pushing data metrics and storing them in either AWS infra DB, Snowflake Sample data. It also allows importing worksheets from the classic version to Snowsight, making the relocation easier. We also use Snowflake's secure share to consume data shared in our organization and provide it to others.
I have a large data set having very slow performance on lot of databases it solved on snowflake.

If you are looking to change it is a must option you should try.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact storage and processing power are separated is so powerful, the cloning and time travel features are incredibly useful also.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could do with improving, however there are tools like DBeaver that sit on top that solve this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Migrating on prem SQLServer to the cloud, this has sped up all queries as storage isn't slowing them down as well as reducing costs

Current project replaced hive and redshift and introducing Snowflake.

Snowflake is part of the modern BI stack, there are lot of inbuilt functionalities that makes complex data warehousing problems simple

The UI can be little more better compared with other warehousing tools such as Redshift , bigquery

I have worked extensively on Snowflake to create datalakes from scratch.
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake is highly scalable. The interface provided by snowflake is very comfortable to use. The query rofiles give very important insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some internal errors which frequently come so the environment is not very stable as yet. PLSQL stored procedures are not yet provided.

We are replacing the existing enterprise database with snowflake to achieve scalability in analysis.

Powerful and feature rich data platform for industry with compliance needs. Continuous innovations with new features such as Snowsight and Snowpark.

Flexibility to select compute type for running data science models in Snowpark such as compute with GPU.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building analytics layer for BI and ad hoc analytics and support for Data Science use cases.

If you are in a regulated industry and looking for a cloud based data warehouse stack, Snowflake is the best.
