Your Getaway Cloud '9' !
What do you like best about the product?
The ever availability of core system processes. Ligtening fast query executions. Support from dedicated Snowflake Engineering team around the globe and 24/7 mode.
What do you dislike about the product?
The latency in set-up. The access heirarchy and time taken to go-live with the provided access credentials. Seldom system outages that are faced with unstable network.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake is our back-bone of reporting. Snowflake facilitates the tableu reporting for our organization. The live data feeds translated to Snowflake level queries.
Snowflake : Storage Epitome
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake with it's wide acceptance and snowpipes for different cloud platforms like AWS, GCP makes it a great to tool to implemenet single datalakes for processing
What do you dislike about the product?
Snowflake implementation can be really complex and difficult to follow even with the documentations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is serving as data lake for all my security tools!
Very soft-core DWH tech
What do you like best about the product?
I personally love having a contact a Snowflake that reaches out to me proactively and informs me of upcoming changes, configurations needed, etc.
It seems like a very soft-core DWH tech which mostly aims to lower the barrier (and cost) for entry rather than offer the best DWH. I can see Redshift, Postgres, SQL Server etc. all be better if you have the necessary skills to manage it and money is not a big deal.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to understanding roles and access permissions, but Snowflake has a lot of documentation out there for it (which I find easier to understand than other DB's documentation).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If we want new features with SQL Server, we'd have to go through the process of upgrading it to the next version and doing all of the testing necessary (etc etc), but with Snowflake, new features get rolled out as they come, and they're available for use if you want to use them
Great Platform But With Limited Data Lake Support
What do you like best about the product?
1. The data is divided into smaller micro-partitions making the queries on the dataset super fast.
2. Awesome access control capabilities.
3. Getting support for Data Lake

3. Getting support for Data Lake
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Initial stages of data lake implementation and hence behind competitors.
2. Frequent formatting issues on the browser.
3. Too costly and therefore not suitable for low-scale business.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem that Snowflake is solving is making queries run super fast no matter what size of the table queried upon, thanks to its micro partitions. The ability to do time travel and restore lost data is a boon for real.
Superb tool

What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit costly
Integration with a legacy system is sometimes challenging
It sometimes takes time to query complex queries or unoptimised queries
Dependence on internet

For us we dump all the data into snowflake then we run complex queries on Snowflake and create Tableau dashboards on top of it to visualise the data and for better business understanding
Excellent project management platform!
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake has the very user-friendly feature of maintaining track of data and tickets, and their progress can be
tracked easily. The data loading and running of query languages like SQL is smooth and satisfies users.

What do you dislike about the product?
A few times when there needs to be up-to-date chat among the users regarding the ongoing project, users need to wait for the client or others to comment,
so there is a need for an interpersonal chat feature that can help the users to act immediately

We use Snowflake to create user analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Very nice online User interface. A lof new features appear every year.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not so cheap. Moreover, it's not so easy to understand a real cost, because there are some background prosses that exist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nice performance, low latency, big concurrency, and good scalability.
Best Thing For Data On Cloud Era
What do you like best about the product?
its computing speed, timely updates, documentation everything is fantastic. Its unique architecture help us to vanish disadvantages of tradition database tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think snowflake is costly if you can't use it properly. So some open guidelines should be provided. The snowflake cost calculator should provide so that customers can take a decision accordingly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On prem sql server taking 3-4 hour to complete job but same implementation in snowflake takes only 6-8 mins. We don't need to keep DBA team as snowflake is SAAS.
One of the best Cloud Data Platforms to solve all analytic and storage needs
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Snowflake is that it is cloud independent and solves the problems for both data warehousing and storage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Snowflake can work on solving edge cases for all the solutions provided by it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake combines data warehousing and Storage into a single product without affecting the performance. It provides faster data retrieval as compared to other open source frameworks like Hive.
Guided use, simplicity and easy to keep on track with your projects
What do you like best about the product?
The databases are easily organized. You can search them on your own. The features allow you to keep an easy track of your projects and because of that you´re able to recicle code and separate your queries according to the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when the query fails you are not told very specifically where the error is being generated. A FAQ section should be included or a section with tips to get started with SF
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with relational databases without having to dowload them and work on them in R or Python. Thanks to snowflake I´m able to get just the data I need. It simplifies my job because some of the communications I send extract the most recent data from SF instead of hurrying to upload data.
