I love how easy it is to use, especially for something open-source. It’s customizable, secure, and stable, plus there’s a ton of free software available. Whether you’re new to Linux or have been using it for years, it just works smoothly.

Sometimes it’s a bit frustrating when specific hardware drivers aren’t readily supported so it makes difficult the ease of integration, and you have to dig around for solutions. Also, for some professional software, it doesn’t always have the same level of support as other operating systems, which can be use limiting at times.

It provides a secure, stable environment that’s ideal for everyday use and development work.
Experience is very similar to RHEL OS and gives you great flexibilty over windows server OS.

Being based on linux as base, the experience is really nice. Also, the community support is good.

Few things, like the inherent machine firewall is different from RHEL and needs some learing to go a get along.

The ubuntu server is opensource so requires no licensing. Also, with strong foundation, it gives regular updates. This is one the strongest linux based OS with great community support.

The best thing about ubuntu is it's easy to use and it offers a smooth interface for beginners. As it's an open source so anyone can use it and impliment it. It also provide security by providing frequent updates.

The most important thing is some of the important sofware/ products are not supported by ubuntu. The frequency of use updates sometimes gets delayed on ubuntu as compared to other OS.

The best part about ubuntu is it's free OS as many of users like face face cost issue with other OS but ubuntu being free is a great help. ubuntu has regular security updates so it's very secure. And it has a great customer support so no user has to struggle for customer support as it's great.

If you look at a list of CVEs, you will see that while many systems are targeted, fewer attacks focus on Ubuntu than other operating systems because Ubuntu is highly customizable. You can configure it exactly how you want, secure it thoroughly, and turn off unnecessary services, yet it will still function properly. Unlike a Windows machine with numerous dependencies, Ubuntu can operate efficiently with only the essential components enabled.

There are enough forums and other means of support for Ubuntu Linux that you don't need official group support.

The initial setup will be easy. Once you start using it, you will manage the rest of it. Although it can become quite technical, a lot of support is available. You can disable any services you don't need, ensuring no unnecessary ports are open. Unlike Windows, which allows everything by default until specifically restricted, Linux keeps everything closed and only opens what is necessary.

We are using Ubuntu Linux for a specific task. Based on our experience, it is very efficient. Instead of using a Windows server for easy access, we have set up a new server tailored for manual users. Despite this, some users still rely on a Windows server. However, when I use a Linux cluster, it works very well. All my users interact with it seamlessly.
Play it first to get the skills before diving into anything complex. Start with simple tasks, like setting up an email server. Once you have those basics working, you can move on to more advanced tasks. We often find that Windows users tend to set things up in a certain way because they are familiar with Windows. Therefore, it's important to understand what you are doing from the start. Once you have a good foundation, it will be smooth sailing.
We have tried various approaches from a Linux point of view. We still support those, and I have a specialist tool that can efficiently support them.
