The Most Seamless And Secure Operating System

  • May 15, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. It is probably the most secure operating system out there. It also uses Snaps to isolate faulty apps (almost a sandbox environment). You can also roll back the updates if you detect system instability.

2. It is probably the most lightweight OS. Compared to all the competitors, it has the lowest system data and resource consumption.

3. It also simplifies the development efforts with thrid-party framework supports and extensive documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. All the core back-end functions seem to rely heavily on snaps.
2. The "overuse" of snaps seems to defeat the original purpose of Ubuntu Core, that is, being lightweight.
3. The community is pretty small of Ubuntu as it is still in its nascent stage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. It provides a lightweight OS solution that can run even on dated systems.
2. It's secure data structure prevents data breaches.
3. The infrastructure of Ubuntu Core is very simple. So, it is very welcoming for new comers.

What do you like best about the product?
As a hard core linux user I use ubuntu on daily basis, while creating ec2 servers it is mostly preferred to use any linux distrubution and ubuntu is the go to dirstro that you can count on.
Best thing about ubuntu is it the most stable linux distrubtion out their with regular updates and a vast range of software and hardware support.
The OS is secure and compatible with majority systems. Apart from powerful linux terminal you'll get a strong GUI, hence it is user freindly.
Ubuntu is open source, it has a strong commutiny of developers that develope UI softwares that are compatibel with latest hardware in the market.
Everything in ubuntu is upto dated and it is one of the best choice for software developers out there
What do you dislike about the product?
From a developer perspective when working with legacy code bases the configuration process is so teidious as some of the repositories are miss managed and the solutions are out dated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has the power of linux terminal with windows like user experience that makes it one of the best OS to learn linux as a beginner.
