Handles Large Scale data queries with excellent speed and reliability, even for complex joins across billions of rows. Efficiently process and integrates data from multiple source systems, maintaining consistency and accuracy

What do you like best about the product?
I find the performance of the database engine's resolution very good. With this, we provide a quick response to user requirements. Additionally, its ease of implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps it would be good to have greater customer support, especially in new courses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our process, we perform many joins between tables in the Datawarehouse model. Some tables have many records, and the processing characteristics of Teradata make the queries performant, both for loading processes and reports.

Teradata Vantage helps solve key problems such as managing and analyzing high volumes of transactional payment data, detecting fraudulent activity, and generating timely business insights. This benefits me by enabling faster, more accurate reporting and analysis, supporting data-driven decision-making across the business, and improving overall efficiency in identifying risks and opportunities.

I like the data transfer view, is really fast and intuitive

Need to improve the app for mac users, it needs to restart twice a week losing al the sql editos and result set.

When there is an error, I would like more clarity to understand where the error is.

What do you like best about the product?
Teradata handles complex queries on massive datasets without performance issues. I also really appreciate its integration capabilities with Python, which we use extensively for orchestration and automation tasks. It adds a lot of flexibility to our workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI feels outdated and not very intuitive, especially for users outside core data teams. Documentation could be clearer and more example driven. It might also be quite heavy for fast iteration and experimentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teradata plays a key role in supporting our anti money laundering efforts by powering the ETL pipelines behind our risk alert system. We use it to process large volumes of transactional data, generate financial indicators, and apply complex business rules to detect suspicious patterns across both national and international operations. Its ability to handle heavy joins, aggregations, and inflation adjustments via Python integration at scale, ensures that our risk matrices are both timely and reliable. This directly improves our compliance positioning, reduces manual workload, and enables faster response to regulatory requirements.

It is a robust and stable data platform that efficiently handles large volumes of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
That too many technical skills are required for the use of the platform. It should evolve to functionalities with natural language.

In Teradata, we model our business processes so that through them, KPIs and OKRs are constructed, which define the current and future state of the business.
Using Teradata as a BI Analyst
What do you like best about the product?
The possibility of performing large-scale data analysis from different sources. Teradata performs as expected in the development of our business models. It allows the BI team to analyze big amount of data, develop models and test them.

Operating in the cloud with Teradata requires initial configuration or integration with AWS. Teradata studio performance could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Teradata to connect from different sources, to analyze data and create business models. Therefore, it is an important contributor to our analytical modeling process.

What I dislike about Teradata Vantage is its steep learning curve, especially for new users. The interface could be more intuitive, and some advanced features require significant technical expertise to fully utilize.

Teradata Vantage is solving issues related to handling large volumes of data efficiently and providing high-performance analytics. It’s benefiting us by improving query performance, reducing data processing time, and enabling more accurate, timely decision-making across the organization.
