Vantage provides the fastest path to scalable, high-performance analytics to tackle complex business challenges. Offers full integration with preferred tools and languages (SQL, Python, R) and data sources (object stores, HDFS, more).
This do-it-yourself (DIY) software subscription includes security and performance improvements over previous versions. Enterprise tier includes TASM, Teradata's highly regarded workload management. Software consistency across deployments means quick, low-risk migration.
Integration with Amazon S3 enables direct querying of object store data. Analytic and data warehouse use cases include production operational analytics, test and development, quality assurance, disaster recovery, sandbox / data lab, and discovery.

Usage instructions
This product is designed to work with other Teradata software products.
- Use CloudFormation template to launch a multi-node Teradata Vantage system.
- System will be up and running after stack launch is complete.
- Verify system state: a) ssh into the one of the instances: ssh -i <private key file> ec2-user@<instance DNS name or IP address> b) Validate the system is up and running: sudo psh pdestate -a The output of the command will be similar to: all N nodes: PDE state is RUN/STARTED. DBS state is 5: Logons are enabled - The system is quiescent

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Teradata Vantage is its ability to process large volumes of data quickly and reliably. This is essential for financial analysis at Payway, as it allows us to run complex queries without losing performance, which facilitates report generation and timely decision-making.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like the least is that some advanced data transformation functions are limited or require additional configurations, which complicates daily work. Additionally, the interface and administrative tools could be more intuitive to facilitate the management and monitoring of the ETL processes we run with Informatica Cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teradata Vantage faces challenges such as a less intuitive interface and limitations in advanced data transformation functions, which can make some tasks more complex and require additional configurations. However, its great capacity to handle massive volumes of data, support for parallel processing, advanced query optimization, and efficient handling of structured and semi-structured data benefit us directly. This allows us to process large amounts of financial information efficiently, improve the quality and speed of our analyses and reports, and support complex workloads with high concurrency.
