    Suite Studios S3 Native

     Info
    Deployed on AWS
Store, share, and edit media files as if everyone on your team is working off of the same local drive. Suite turns Amazon S3 into a high-performance shared file system for media teams. Mount new or existing buckets and enable creatives to work directly in platforms like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid Media Composer. No downloads, no proxies, no sync step. Suite streams only the bytes an application asks for and writes changes back to S3 in real time. Media never leaves the customer's own bucket, and native S3 events, lifecycle, replication, and analytics keep running against the same objects.

    Overview

Suite makes Amazon S3 the active storage layer for the entire production ecosystem

Production teams are spread across cities and time zones while their footage sits in buckets they can't work from directly. So they improvise: downloading files locally, duplicating assets, and keeping legacy NAS alive next to the cloud they're already paying for. S3 becomes the last stop in the workflow instead of an active part of it.

Suite changes that. It mounts a customer's existing Amazon S3 bucket as a high-performance shared file system. Editors open media straight from the bucket, and their edits land back in S3 in real time. Nothing is moved, copied, or re-keyed, so every native AWS service keeps operating against the same objects.

    How it works:

Suite's file streaming technology gives users and applications local-drive access to S3-backed files, streaming only the bytes an application actually needs, exactly when it needs them, and writing changes back in real time. There is no proxy workflow, no download step, and no sync process to manage.

    • The bucket stays where it is, in the customer's own AWS account. No migration, no second copy of the data.
    • Suite installs on user workstations (macOS, Windows, and Linux) and the bucket appears as a shared file system. Creatives work from the applications they already use.
    • Existing event, lifecycle, replication, and analytics configuration continues to run untouched.

Suite is purpose-built for creative workflows, not just general file sharing. It holds up under demanding creative loads and heavy read and write traffic, and works with any file-based application, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, and DaVinci Resolve. Because Suite uses no proprietary format, customers retain full data governance and ownership.

    Who it's for

Distributed post-production, broadcast, sports, agency, and in-house content teams, particularly those with large media volumes already in S3, or an expensive on-prem NAS running alongside the cloud they already pay for. The tell-tale sign: editors downloading, duplicating, or working from proxies because "we can't actually edit from the cloud."

    What it unlocks on AWS

Once production runs natively in S3, the next workloads follow on their own. Media already in the bucket feeds Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, and Amazon SageMaker with no additional data pipeline. Delivery pairs naturally with Amazon CloudFront, and editorial output flows into AWS Elemental broadcast packaging with no intermediate transfer step. Lifecycle automation runs on AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate, and Amazon EC2, triggered by S3 Event Notifications, Amazon SQS, and Amazon EventBridge.

    Your data stays yours

Suite never copies customer media outside their own S3 buckets. Files stay in their native format - no proprietary format, and nothing to export or convert if you ever stop using Suite. Your library lives in your own AWS account, readable by any tool you choose. Suite adds a fine-grained permissions layer for creative teams, rather than replacing it or requiring you to change how your bucket is set up. S3's native encryption options are fully supported, including customer key control through AWS KMS.

Connect the rest of your workflow

Because your objects are left untouched and directly addressable, every other system in the pipeline keeps talking to the same bucket through the S3 API, asset management, transcode, archive tiering, distribution, and your own automation, all reading and writing the same objects your editors are working on.

That includes the rest of AWS.

    Pricing and availability

Suite is priced per TB of data under management. Agreements are structured around the environment: data volume, workflow shape, and scale. Available now on AWS Marketplace, transactable via private offer through your existing AWS agreement.

    Highlights

    • Edit directly from your S3 bucket - Suite mounts your existing Amazon S3 bucket as a high-performance shared file system on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Assets behave like a local drive in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, and any other file-based tool. Suite streams only the bytes the application requests and writes edits back to S3 in real time, so collaborators in different cities see changes as they happen.
    • Truly S3 Native - Files stay in their native format, in your own AWS account. No compromising on content ownership and data sovereignty.
    • S3 API Integration - Because your objects are left untouched and directly addressable, every other system keeps talking to the same bucket. Asset management, transcode, AI and ML services, distribution, data recovery and your own automation all read and write the same objects your editors are working on. No connector to maintain, no second copy to reconcile, and no waiting on a vendor to build an integration.
