A Managed GB is one gigabyte of storage the Sensor tracks across your volumes. The Sensor monitors utilization on EBS volumes attached to EC2 or EKS instances running a supported Linux operating system. It reports usage based on the volumes' filesystems, so billing follows the capacity actually under monitoring.
The Sensor is read-only. It tracks and reports on EBS volume utilization but does not grow, shrink, or change your volumes. It requires only read permissions to collect instance and volume metadata. Datafy does not access, read, or use the data stored inside your volumes.
Your bill follows the gigabytes under monitoring. Installing the Sensor on more EC2 or EKS instances raises the tracked capacity and your cost. Removing volumes from monitoring lowers it. There is no fixed commitment or seat count, so cost adjusts with the storage the Sensor actually tracks.
