Save up to 60 percent of your current Amazon EBS costs with Datafy's auto-scaling solution for Amazon EBS. Cloud storage offerings such as Amazon Elastic Block Storage are often over-provisioned and under-utilized. Datafy seamlessly integrates with your AWS environment, continuously monitoring and adjusting storage volume allocation. The beauty of this solution lies in its simplicity; no code changes or developer hours are required, making it a hassle free way to achieve significant cost savings. There is zero downtime; Datafy installs and uninstalls without any disruption.
As your AWS infrastructure grows, right-sizing your EBS volumes becomes crucial for both performance and cost efficiency. But what happens when your EBS volume is running out of space, or conversely, when its underutilized? Proper right-sizing is key to ensuring your storage remains optimized.
Highlights
Datafy can reduce your Amazon EBS spend by up to 60% through auto-scaling your EBS volumes to eliminate over-provisioning and wasted capacity. Right-sizing your Amazon Elastic Block Storage capacity is equally important as optimizing your compute.
Installing Datafy requires ZERO downtime and ZERO requirement for a maintenance window. Operational availability is never compromised either when installing or uninstalling Datafy. Should you decide not to continue with the Amazon EBS AutoScaling you can uninstall Datafy and revert back to your original state without any disruption or downtime whatsoever.
Install Datafy in minutes on any cloud environment, and choose which volumes you want Datafy to manage. We work with any OS and file system, and no changes are needed to your application, workflow or users.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay based on the Amazon EBS capacity that Datafy actively manages and optimizes. The two dimensions measure that managed capacity in different units. The GiB-Hour dimension bills per gibibyte for each hour under management. The TiB-Month dimension bills per tebibyte over a month. Both track the same thing — your optimized storage footprint — so your cost scales up or down as Datafy grows and shrinks volumes to match real usage. Choose the unit that fits how you monitor and forecast storage spend.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What capacity does Datafy count for billing — the volume size I provisioned or the space I actually use?
Billing tracks the optimized EBS capacity Datafy actively manages. Datafy right-sizes volumes to match real usage, so it measures the capacity you actually use, not the original over-provisioned size. As Datafy shrinks or grows a managed volume, the metered capacity moves with it.
Do volumes I choose not to manage count toward my charges?
No. Datafy meters only the volumes you select for management. Volumes it monitors for visibility but does not autoscale are not part of the optimized capacity you pay for. You control which subset of your environment AutoScaler manages, down to individual volumes.
How do the GiB-Hour and TiB-Month dimensions combine on my invoice?
They measure the same optimized capacity in different units rather than adding together. GiB-Hour meters per gibibyte for each hour under management. TiB-Month meters per tebibyte across a month. Your billing reflects the unit set for your agreement, tracking one managed footprint.
