Save up to 60 percent of your current Amazon EBS costs with Datafy's auto-scaling solution for Amazon EBS. Cloud storage offerings such as Amazon Elastic Block Storage are often over-provisioned and under-utilized. Datafy seamlessly integrates with your AWS environment, continuously monitoring and adjusting storage volume allocation. The beauty of this solution lies in its simplicity; no code changes or developer hours are required, making it a hassle free way to achieve significant cost savings. There is zero downtime; Datafy installs and uninstalls without any disruption.
As your AWS infrastructure grows, right-sizing your EBS volumes becomes crucial for both performance and cost efficiency. But what happens when your EBS volume is running out of space, or conversely, when its underutilized? Proper right-sizing is key to ensuring your storage remains optimized.
Highlights
Datafy can reduce your Amazon EBS spend by up to 60% through auto-scaling your EBS volumes to eliminate over-provisioning and wasted capacity. Right-sizing your Amazon Elastic Block Storage capacity is equally important as optimizing your compute.
Installing Datafy requires ZERO downtime and ZERO requirement for a maintenance window. Operational availability is never compromised either when installing or uninstalling Datafy. Should you decide not to continue with the Amazon EBS AutoScaling you can uninstall Datafy and revert back to your original state without any disruption or downtime whatsoever.
Install Datafy in minutes on any cloud environment, and choose which volumes you want Datafy to manage. We work with any OS and file system, and no changes are needed to your application, workflow or users.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay based on the Amazon EBS capacity that Datafy actively manages and optimizes. Two usage units measure the same managed capacity. The GiB-Hour unit tracks optimized capacity by the hour, while the TiB-Month unit tracks it by the month. Both scale directly with how much storage Datafy handles, so your cost rises or falls as managed capacity grows or shrinks. This usage-based structure means you pay only for the volume space you actually consume, not for over-provisioned capacity.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What capacity does Datafy count for billing — provisioned EBS size or the space I actually use?
You pay for the optimized capacity Datafy manages, not the original provisioned size. Datafy right-sizes each managed volume to match real-time usage, then meters that optimized capacity. Volumes you monitor but do not enable for autoscaling are not managed, so they fall outside the charged capacity.
How do the GiB-Hour and TiB-Month units relate on my bill?
Both units measure the same managed capacity, just at different scales. GiB-Hour tracks optimized capacity in gibibytes by the hour. TiB-Month tracks it in tebibytes by the month. You do not pay twice — they are two ways to express the capacity Datafy handles for you.
Does my cost change when Datafy shrinks a volume or when I disable autoscaling on one?
Yes. When Datafy shrinks an underused volume, the managed capacity drops, so the metered amount falls. If you disable autoscaling on a volume, Datafy returns it to a standard EBS volume and stops managing it, removing that capacity from the charge.
