Try this product free for 7 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for a preconfigured Windows virtual machine that runs Playwright, a browser automation tool. Pricing is not tiered by features. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, billed per hour of runtime. The software price is the same across instances; your hourly cost changes with the compute size you pick. Smaller instances suit light scripting, while larger ones handle heavier automation or memory needs. You choose one instance type at launch and pay only while it runs. No upfront commitment applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit include for each instance type dimension?
Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance running a preconfigured Windows virtual machine with Playwright installed. You are billed per hour that instance runs. One unit equals one running instance-hour of the compute size you select at launch, not per script or per browser session.
Am I charged when the virtual machine is stopped or paused?
Software charges meter running time only. When you stop the instance, hourly software charges stop accruing. Underlying AWS storage fees for the stopped instance may still apply separately. You pay the software rate only while the instance runs.
Can I switch to a different instance type after launch to change my hourly cost?
You choose one instance type at launch. Each type is a separate dimension billed at its own hourly rate. To run on a different compute size, you launch a new instance of that type. Your bill reflects the hours each running instance accrues.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Version release notes
This release focuses primarily on updating packages to their latest stable versions and bolstering security to ensure a seamless and safe user experience. We recommend updating to this latest version to benefit from all the enhancements it brings. As always, we're keen to hear from you. Should you encounter any issues or have suggestions for future updates, please reach out to our support team.
We are currently experiencing a delay in provisioning the instance. It may take up to 20 minutes for the instance to become ready for RDP connections and the initial configuration after the first login.
Default Credentials for RDP connection:
Username: Administrator
Computer Name: Public IPv4 address of your EC2 instance (e.g., 35.173.131.168)
Password: Retrieve the password from the AWS management console by selecting the instance, then going to "Actions" and choosing "Get Windows Password".
Run Playwright sample code:
To run our sample scripts, open Visual Studio Code and select the script you would like to execute. Click on 'Run' and then choose either 'Start Debugging' or 'Run Without Debugging'.
We keep software installations to a minimum, and no sensitive data is stored on the virtual machine instance. If you encounter any issues or have additional questions, please refer to our documentation or reach out to our support team.
