You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run this software on. The dimensions are not feature tiers or license levels. Instead, each one maps to a specific AWS compute size, spanning compute-optimized (c3, c4), general-purpose (m3, m4), memory-optimized (r3), storage-optimized (d2, i2), and GPU (g2) families. Larger instances within a family carry higher hourly rates than smaller ones. Your cost scales with how large an instance you choose and how many hours you run it. The endpoint management software supports up to 500 computers for a single user.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged when the instance running this software is stopped or powered off?
Hourly software charges apply only while the EC2 instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue software charges. Note that underlying AWS storage fees for the stopped instance may still apply separately from the software license, which meters running time only.
What does the 500 computers, single user limit cover for endpoint management?
The software manages up to 500 endpoints, meaning devices such as desktops, laptops, smartphones, and tablets controlled from one console. A single user account operates the management console. It covers cross-platform devices, including Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android endpoints.
If I move to a larger EC2 instance, how does my hourly cost change?
Your hourly rate follows the instance type you run. Switching to a larger instance within a family raises the hourly rate; switching to a smaller one lowers it. The change takes effect once you launch the new instance. You control cost by choosing the instance size and run hours.

Comprehensive Endpoint Management with Strong Automation and Security
Reviewed on Jul 29, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Endpoint Central has simplified endpoint management by combining patching, software deployment, remote support, and asset management into a single platform. This has improved operational efficiency, reduced manual effort, and helped maintain a more secure and well-managed IT environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of ManageEngine Endpoint Central is that the interface can feel overwhelming, especially for new administrators. Because the platform includes so many features, it takes time to become familiar with the navigation and configuration options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine Endpoint Central helps solve the challenge of managing and securing a large number of endpoints from a single platform. Instead of handling patching, software deployment, asset inventory, and remote support through separate tools or manual processes, everything can be managed centrally, which simplifies day-to-day IT operations.
I really appreciate the vulnerability management features, especially how it pushes Windows and third-party patches all the time. ManageEngine Endpoint Central gives us a good way to control everything with timing and scheduling for patch management, which is great. I also value the asset management and inventory control features because they reduce managerial work. Overall, it's been working well from the beginning without any major setup issues, thanks to the team's efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the things are okay, but we need to work on Mobile Device Management (MDM). The Android system is difficult, especially regarding certificates. We're also limited by the license, which is a main issue. And, I'm facing integration issues with CrowdStrike, which would provide more feasibility for our security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use ManageEngine Endpoint Central for software deployment and managing different devices. It simplifies vulnerability management and patch scheduling, giving us good control. Asset management reduces our managerial workload.

Simplifying Enterprise Patch Management with Test-and-Approve Workflows and Automation
Reviewed on Jul 14, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about ManageEngine Endpoint Central is the flexibility of the patch management solution. It allows us to implement structured test-and-approve workflows, automate deployments using maintenance windows, manage both Microsoft and third-party updates, and track compliance through detailed reports. The platform combines many endpoint management functions in a single product, including software deployment, remote support, OS deployment, BitLocker management, and asset inventory, which simplifies daily operations and reduces the need for multiple tools. The product is reliable, easy to maintain, and provides the level of automation required to manage large enterprise environments efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product is feature-rich, but some advanced configurations can be complex for new administrators. Certain areas of the interface could be more streamlined, and troubleshooting patch deployment or policy-related issues sometimes requires navigating through multiple menus and logs. Custom reporting and dashboard creation could also be more intuitive. Overall, these are usability improvements rather than functional limitations, as the platform provides the necessary capabilities once configured properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine Endpoint Central helps us standardize and automate patch management across our organization. It allows us to test, approve, and deploy Microsoft and third-party updates in a controlled manner while tracking compliance through centralized dashboards and reports. The platform also simplifies software deployment, remote troubleshooting, asset inventory, and endpoint configuration management. As a result, we have reduced manual effort, improved patch compliance, increased endpoint visibility, and strengthened our overall security posture.
