OmniStream sells streaming time as prepaid hour bundles. You buy hours upfront and consume them only when your applications are actively running. The three bundles differ by the quantity of hours purchased: 1,000, 10,000, or 25,000. Larger bundles hold more hours in a single purchase. Each bundle covers the same platform capabilities, so the choice comes down to how many streaming hours your project needs. Actual usage depends on the hardware tier you select, since some tiers consume hours at a higher rate per streamed hour.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
How does one bundle hour translate into actual streaming time?
Each streaming hour draws credits based on the hardware tier you pick. A base tier consumes one credit per streamed hour, so one bundle hour equals one streamed hour. Higher-specification GPU tiers draw more than one credit per hour, so your bundle hours deplete faster on those tiers.
Am I charged for time when my application is not actively streaming?
No. You secure hours upfront and consume them only when your applications are actively running. Idle or stopped applications do not draw from your bundle. Consumption is metered with hourly granularity, and you can scale instances up or down based on traffic.
What is included in the bundle hours beyond raw streaming?
All platform features come in the hour cost. This covers the management portal, stream encoding, scaling, concurrency, custom plugins, vulnerability monitoring, the JavaScript integration library, latency optimisation, smart scheduling, and up to 4K UHD quality. You get 500GB storage and can stream apps up to 128GB. You only choose your hardware tier.
