What counts as one cluster unit for billing on the Professional Plan?
One unit covers one Kubernetes cluster you connect to the platform through the open-source operator. You remain responsible for provisioning, upgrades, and infrastructure operations on that cluster. It works with clusters running on many distributions, in the cloud, on-premises, or in air-gapped environments.
How does my cost change if I add more clusters?
Pricing scales by cluster units. To manage more clusters, you increase the quantity of units you commit to. Each connected cluster maps to one unit. The platform supports scaling from one cluster to many without a matching rise in operational complexity.
What is not covered by the per-cluster unit price?
Cloud infrastructure costs stay separate. You pay your cloud provider directly for the compute and storage behind each connected cluster. The unit price covers the platform layer, not the underlying infrastructure your clusters run on.
