Overview
GoAnywhere MFT Agents are managed by a central deployment of GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT), which allows you to configure and schedule agent file transfers and business processes from an intuitive, browser-based interface.
MFT agents can be installed onto almost any server or workstation where file transfers or workflows need to be performed. This includes Windows, Linux, UNIX, IBM I, and Mac OS systems. For organizations who prefer to perform their file transfers in the cloud, GoAnywhere MFT supports the use of agents remotely in cloud infrastructure such as Amazon EC2 or Microsoft Azure.
GoAnywhere MFT agents support many features to help you meet key IT initiatives in your organization. Here are just a few of the things agents can do:
- Automate and secure file transfers within a centrally managed environment
- Monitor folders on agent systems for new or modified files
- Schedule agent file transfers to run at future dates/times

Usage instructions
Prior to creating EC2 instance, copy Agent CA certificate from GoAnywhere MFT:
- Log in to GoAnywhere MFT Admin
- Go to Services/Service Manager
- Click gear icon beside 'Agents' and select 'Edit'
- Go to Server/SSL section
- Click on link next to 'CA Certificate'
- Copy contents of 'Server CA PEM Format' tab
While Launching EC2:
- Under 'Advanced Details', find the 'User data' section, paste in following code and update accordingly:

What do you like best about the product?
I like using GoAnywhere MFT for secure and automated file transfers due to its encryption services. I appreciate its centralized monitoring control system, which allows me to check file transfers effectively. I also enjoy that it is fast in speed while sharing files.
What do you dislike about the product?
GoAnywhere MFT needs to improve on the integration front as it becomes a bit difficult for non-technical people to understand. They need to provide better supporting documents or offer no-code or low-code tools. The initial setup is a bit complicated, but manageable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT for secure and automated file transfers, solving the risk of sharing confidential files with encryption.

What do you like best about the product?
In my case, the most useful aspect of GoAnywhere MFT is the amount of effort it takes off tasks that are routine. Once configured, it manages a high frequency of movement of files between cloud systems and partner systems with minimal input. The manner it connects with our existing software simplifies our day to day activities. I also appreciate the vast array of features since it implies fewer hand corrective interventions and the removal of stress when it comes to external data exchanges.
What do you dislike about the product?
The problem that I have with GoAnywhere MFT is that it can be so demanding when there are changes to be made. Modifications or integrations are time consuming. There are numerous features and it is easy to get things too complicated. This, at times, has slowed us down when partners required quick change and this can disrupt normal operations unless planned adjustments are made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The issue with unreliable and manual file transfers is addressed by GoAnywhere MFT. My team wasted too much time before using it checking failed jobs and resending files. Now, when there is correct implementation and good integration within the systems, then there are few cases of those problems. It is applicable to me and has made work done by teams easier since files come as expected. It liberates time and minimizes stress in day to day operations.

What do you like best about the product?
i have used it to share the files as well as integrate with our database to share the files securely. Moreover I have used it to get the files from centralised main server of my logistics organisation to use them .
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing everything is fine with user friendly interface
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a logistics company, we needed software that would allow us to share invoices both easily and securely, with proper security compliance. This solution has benefited us by enabling secure file transfers, and it also integrates with our shipping software and connects to our database, which has been very useful for our operations.

What do you like best about the product?
I use GoAnywhere MFT for file transfer and find it easy to share large files. I really like that there's no size limit. The security is good, which is important for saving and sharing healthcare sensitive data. The features work well for my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the outdated UI of GoAnywhere MFT. It doesn't look good and could use a modern design. It needs to be more impressive and easier for beginners to use and learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GoAnywhere MFT makes it easy to share large files with no size limit, provides good security, and features for saving and sharing healthcare sensitive data.

What do you like best about the product?
I use GoAnywhere MFT for secure file transfers, which has enabled us to transfer files securely with partners and customers, and also facilitate secure file sharing between employees. I like the built-in workflows and tasks for file transfer, which work really well with our AWS and GCP environment. The integration with AWS S3 and Google Cloud Storage is seamless. I appreciate the drag-and-drop interface for designing and automating workflows, as it doesn't require any code and reduces manual errors. This has significantly improved our team's productivity by cutting down the time spent on manual file transfers and processing. Additionally, the solution capabilities and ease of use were reasons for switching from Progress MOVEit, and the setup was very easy and straightforward with built-in connectors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain times the technical support is slow to resolve issues and the solution itself is expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GoAnywhere MFT for secure file transfers and sharing, ensuring compliance with PCI DSS and GDPR. Its drag-and-drop workflows reduce manual errors and boost productivity. Integration with AWS and GCP streamlines our processes, and built-in connectors make setup straightforward.
